You're right. It just never occurred to me that a mainstream company would not know how to use apostrophes.

    It's Wonga. 'Nuff said.

  • not a scam in this instance but it does show that the call initially reported was fake.

Easy to get why people may be afraid.

One newspaper (and not the daily fail) commented Sunday "that this week Wonga’s administrators will begin the process of selling on its £400m loan book, most probably to a rival".

  • One single post from a new user signed up a week ago to post and run. Not been back since. Many of the MSE forums I read are being infested by these "hit and run" trolls. Each is the same format, a semi plausible story sometimes related to current affairs.

It's beginning to put me off the forum and perhaps it's about time the forum automatically quarantines posts from new users until they log in again or for 48 hours or similar.

Wouldn't surprise me if many of these posts were from the same IP address. Again, perhaps the software could be set up to block multiple accounts from the same address?

The incorrect use of an apostrophe is a clue to this being a scam letter. No properly managed company would put an apostrophe on a simple plural. Poor grammar is often an indication of scam; fraudsters are not very well educated.

    ahem......
  • An errant apostrophe. Really? Methinks some people need to get a life. :D:D
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
