We don't know how many people they've called who didn't have a Wonga loan.
Were they able to provide any information on the loan?0 -

How did they know the OP had a Wonga loan ? .
As with many scams - they will have many misses before they get a hit.sourcrates wrote: »
I have emailed Wonga, on your behalf, and asked them to comment on what you have said, i will post [strike]there[/strike] their response.

Your post sounds a little bit like a wind-up.
But if it's not, could you have previously responded to any phishing emails - perhaps people saying that they can get you compensation from payday lenders?
If so, that's how they could have got your contact details.0 -

[FONT=Arial,Sans-Serif]My advice, if this is a genuine post, is to make a complaint to Wonga and see how it progresses.

they've been making to customer's.
The incorrect use of an apostrophe is a clue to this being a scam letter. No properly managed company would put an apostrophe on a simple plural. Poor grammar is often an indication of scam; fraudsters are not very well educated.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -

Lol, that letter posted by Sourcrates is a reply from Wonga themselves! Just bad grammar, not a scam in this instance but it does show that the call initially reported was fake.0 -

You're right. It just never occurred to me that a mainstream company would not know how to use apostrophes.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
