The clutch very occasionally sticks a bit on my 2013 Skoda Octavia. Doesn’t affect driving just feels a bit odd sometimes. Is this something that should be looked at immediately or should I just mention it at the next service?
I'm guessing the former, but is a dealer going to charge me a fortune even to look at it?

a car that age have serviced by a decent indy garage, not the main dealer. I had a much older Octavia (1999) and the piston on the back of the clutch pedal broke where the weld was I suspect it may be a fault with the slave cylinder or the joint.
there will no doubt be a good VAG specialist near you.
For all things Skoda, high would highly recommend the Briskoda forum

Thanks, yes I probably should find an indy garage especially as the dreaded cambelt needs doing and Skoda are charging about £700!

Thanks I can't see that info on the website linked, but that sounds more reasonable.

Depends on what you mean by "sticks". If you mean the pedal doesn't come back up, that could be a sign that the master cylinder is on the way out, presuming it has a hydraulic clutch release system. Sticking occasionally is fine, but you won't necessarily get much warning when it moves to sticking all the time.

Gates cambelt with waterpump for 2001 Octavia on ebay for £85. How many hours does it take to fit?

Yes, I too was wondering what the OP meant by 'sticks'. If as Droopsnoot suggests it means the pedal not returning back up it could also be weak or broken diaphragm springs.
