The penalty charge notice does not match the vehicle registration number.

I got a pcn on my scooter and when I tried to pay online I get the message "The penalty charge notice does not match the vehicle registration number"
i tried at different time but still the same message?
should I ring them or leave it because they made a mistake ?
I video the entire process payement just in case they wont believe me

issue by the council
parked on an edge of a disabled parking bay. I would like to specify I was parked in the narrow bit of the end of the bay and no way a car could have parked there, and if you google common garden street lancaster you could see what I mean. Just by M&S, but of course its still an offence

And befoer you post there, you will need to read the other council forum postings, so you can see what info is needed. Yo umake their lives a LOT easier if you have a CONCISE post listing FACTS and giving a google street view link.

Had a similar issue where my car had a number 1 in it and council issued a ticket with 'I' instead of the 1.I wrote to the council in question and they cancelled the ticket. My understanding is if the registration on the ticket does not match your vehicle then its not enforceable.

It is, but we tend to major on private parking here.

You will get a far better response to a council issued ticket at pepipoo.com.
