Which budget TV for bedroom?

Hi, I'm just back from Tesco where I saw a Tecknika 24inch tv for £99. I've no experience with the brand but I assume it's the cheapest build/quality wise. I think it was only HD Ready which we're not that concerned about because it will only be used in the bedroom for freeview/youtube/usb stick. It has 2 HDMI ports and 1 USB.
I saw a Panasonic on Argos (I'm not allowed to post links as a new user) which looks like pretty much the same spec, HD ready too but again, we're not that fussed about that. It's £20 more but at least it's a brand I've heard of and it's got nearly 100 positive reviews on the argos site (dubious about how reliable these are). I've heard Toshiba tvs are just rebadged cheap TVs these days, is that the same with Panasonic?
Any other TVs anyone can recommend? £120 is the highest I'd like to go and I don't really care what size it is between 19-24 inch

Technika are just badged-up stock from a multitude of suppliers all over the world, so you will never get spares or service for them, and the picture quality is generally very poor.
Panasonic, Samsung or LG are the brands to look at, and you'll do much better to look at Richer Sounds offers, which gives you a five year warranty. There are 3 TV's on there at present below £130, two LG's and a Toshiba. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Brilliant! Forgot all about Richer Sounds, the 22 Inch LG looks the part, thanks!0

At this size if you don't mind old styling like large bezels and not so thin you can probably find a cast off for approaching £0.0

As an aside HD Ready is fine with such a small screen as 24"0

I have got 3 tv and they are all Panasonic. Very happy with my bedroom Panasonic it is 32 ins. So they have all performed well. It is either Sony or Panasonic in my house.0

We've had Panasonic all sorts for years, but though our current tv us good quality, I was very annoyed when they dropped two of the catchup channels, so will reconsider next time.
Sadly as Panasonic, Sky, Virgin(both Sky & Virgin did eventually sort it out) and the entire Freesat platform show there's no guarantee that the same apps or channels will be available the week after buying a new TV/subscription.0 -
