TUI Holidays

I tried to book a holiday for 6 adults and 3 children on TUI's website two days ago. When I got to the final stage,(paying) the price had gone up by £800! The customer service assistant said " It sometimes happens like that" Going back to the website with the same parameters gave the same original quote. Is this not governed by the Trade's descriptions act? I wonder how many children have been upset by the holiday being suddenly put beyond their parents holiday budget?

Not that many, I wouldn't have thought.
This seems to be a rare incident and most parents would look for a cheaper holiday if needed.0 -

Unless people have their children gathered around a computer while the parents are booking, I'd think not many.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

I guess it can happen but I think it would be rare.
TUI have quite a good website and if you have typed in the actual hotel name (rather than a search of a destination) it will bring up a calendar showing the prices of other departure dates. There can be quite a variation on price and you can make savings by just going a few days earlier or later.0 -
Would you be OK with listing details here - so we can try a dummy booking to see what price pops up ?
Presumably it's a package with transfers included ?
Don't need names of course - just airport, date, name of hotel or accommodation with board basis, based on 6 adults +3 children.
How are the room allocations required in respect of kids with parents ?
Are the kids on free child places deal ?0
