Anyone pulled out of a Persimmon Home Change?

Hi there,
I am going through a Persimmon Home Change. This differs to a Part Exchange as they instruct Estate Agents to market the property. I have a buyer for my home via this scheme. However I am having major second thoughts on buying the Persimmon Home for a variety of reasons. I have paid my reservation fee and deposit for ungrades, so I know I am going to lose these. I still want to sell the house to the buyer. What would be the impact of this? It is a local estate agent who found the buyer, not Persimmon’s agent. Thanks

We’ve used the Barratt MoveMaker scheme which is pretty similar by the sounds of it.
In our case, they pay the estate agent fees (saving us about £4K) so I would think your situation you would have to cover these fees if you was to pull out of the purchase.
If you’re using H2B, I believe you can get a refund of the deposit, but yes you would definitely lose out on the options/upgrades deposit.0 -
