  • Thanks for your reply. What am I looking for on the NtK? There is the date of the apparent infringement, the date of issue but, of course, I have no idea when the letter arrived as I was away for 3 months. I have sent a receipt to Sainsburys as part of my appeal to their better nature but haven’t talked about the driver of the car so presumably that means the driver remains unidentified? Some clarification on that point of driver anonymity whilst also communicating with Sains would be v helpful. Is it the case that if HP can’t identify the driver then they can’t hold the registered keeper liable? I can see from the stats you helpfully included that very few of the charges issued end up in court.......is that because people pay up or is it that the likes of HP give up after a while? I’m trying to gauge how long this might go on for as it is pretty stressful getting letters like these. Is there an option to pay the original charge (£40) - I was away so couldn’t possibly have met their 14 day payment terms - just to get them off my back?
Coupon mad - I will try again with a letter to Mike Coupe but, again, wonder if this identifies driver?
    Thanks in advance

what are those 2 dates, and can you show us a photo or scan of both sides of that PCN?

Yes keep the driver's identity not admitted, as I think Horizon sometimes do not comply with the POFA in their NTK (compare it to para 9 of the POFA 2012, Schedule 4).

Yes - IF that NTK is not a POFA compliant one - compare the wording and dates to para 9 of the POFA.

Both, and Sainsburys cancel them, and POPLA cancel them when people win.

    No, there is not.

It doesn't identify the driver in the version I wrote, but I have just edited:

  • The entire point of POFA is tol hold the keeper liable *when* the PPC does not know the drivers identity.

Hi. I’ve been trying to put photos of letters on here but have been stumped! Was hoping just to upload the photos from my phone but it won’t. Have even created url’s for each photo and that is also not working. Is there an easy way of doing this?

Change the http to hxxp and add a break to the URL, and or the word 'DOT' instead of the . as you are new, so it's a broken link.

Thank you for getting back to me. I've just tried what you suggested and it's still not showing a link that will show the photos. Also, a bit concerned about confidentiality as have uploaded photos to flickr in order to get a url..........I'm guessing from your reply that there is no option for just attaching or pasting a photo directly onto a post here?

Upload the redacted images to a web hosting site such as postimg or tinypic, then post the URL here but change http to hxxp.

Someone here will change it back to a live link.

Don't use your real name when you create your web hosting account, and don't put any personal images on the same site under your username. Yes, it has been done.
