put heating on?
Comments
-
I put the heating on this morning to check the pump and will do it manually from now on, as and when needed, probably for all September and thereafter set the clock for a few hours am and evening.0

everyone thinks it is cold now because they are used to it being so hot for the last few weeks - today i was wearing shorts & t-shirt as it's been about 18 degrees most of the afternoon but because there was some light drizzle people were mostly dressed up like it was winter in coats & long trousers0

My wife is complaining that she is cold and turned the heating on.
Anyone else put their heating on?
Not yet not August.
Late Sept at the very earliest.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Nope! Jumper and fluffy socks. It doesn't feel like August, it feels like October. I think mother nature's messed up (again).0

I don't have the most exotic insulation in the house, but I guess adequate.
At 6am when I went out this morning it was 10c outside and still 20.4c in the lounge.
Its 21c in the lounge now.
I wouldn't be impressed if anyone turned the heating on here. It's not been on for months.0 -
I ran mine for an hour yesterday morning. It was only 8C out and the lounge had got down to 19C overnight. I know it all works now and nothing is seized so it's back on standy for the Autumn. It cost pennies to run and may have saved a load of grief.0

I'm tempted but then think "it's August, I can't ".
Thermostat says 19.2°C, coolest its been in months, but I'll wait and see if it drops below 19°C before I turn it on. It's to be milder tomorrow 16/17°C, so I reckon I should at least be able to wait until September now0 -
Well my heating has a timer & a thermostat. I never turn it off other than by those. After all if the temp drops enough for the thermostat to kick in then I really don't care if it's December or July.0

Ha ha, yes we watch folk walking by dressed for winter this week. Classic case I went to the supermarket 2 days ago, some were in heavy winter coats others still in flip flops and shorts/flimsy tops (that's just the blokes:))
I had to put my socks on the other night, it was cold. My missus is hard, she won't let me put the heating on until mid October, only then if it gets really cold.0 -
Summer ended here in Brighton July 31st, it's been a shocker ever since and just 16c today. This is the coolest August I can remember, not had the opportunity to sit outside all month. Haven't put the heating on but I have had all the windows closed during the day and night.0
