Driver had a reduced fine please help

The keeper of the vehicle involved had been given a reduced fine. Unfortunately the driver panicked and appealed on the companies website naming them the driver.
The driver then appealed again asking for proof of pictures of the vehicle and explaining the there use of larger lettering was not visible on the parking signs.
All letters recovered from parking firm are not properly signed and also if they are you can not make out the signature.
Their response was a reduced fine as the driver had already identified themselves in a previous appeal. Even on the first appeal no POPLA code was given to take it further.
The driver doesn’t know where to look on these threads about what to do next as there is so much to take in. The driver has 14 days to reply and pay fine or proceedings will be issued. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
He fact that this parking firm haven’t shown any evidence of the vehicle and given a POPLA code says to me they are trying all they can to get some money.

They all are 'trying all they can to get some money.'

    Which parking company?

CEL are BPA operators and should have provided a POPLA Code. Did you actually get a formal letter of rejection from them?

Have 35 days passed since your initial appeal?

  • Sorry for late reply, yeah they replied and there was no signature on the letter and also had no POPLA code. Kept all the letters, they also haven’t provided any evidence or shown any pictures of the car in the car which have been requested
  • Yeah more than 35 days have passed since the first appeal.

Complain to the BPA and ask them to sort this out. Copy all correspondence to them to see what has been exchanged.

Before sending the complaint, just do a last minute check on the CEL website as to the current status of the charge. If it still remains, fire off your complaint.
