Worth bidding when a seller has zero feedback?

enjoy ebay while it lasts sounds like to many people dont trust others. newbies seem to get slammed at every opportunity so eventually newbies will stop going onto ebay and this will mean eventually the demise of ebay.. will take a while but will happen... ive had my ebay acct for nearly 2 yrs ive never bought nothing or sold nothing my acct was to see what it was all abt and what the fuss was abt ebay.. everytime i think abt buying or selling something i see you lot slam people with no feedback and i think no way..
My boyfriend has a acct with positive feedback and if i really wanted to buy something he would do it on his acct..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -

I totally agree. I get so fed up of people having a go at "newbies" ... we all had to start somewhere! I only started buying/selling a short while ago and made a great effort to please everyone to get good feedback, as I'm sure the vast majority do. Don't people remember when they were starting out?
OK, you're bound to get the odd "dodgy" character, but I'm sure these aren't just confined to newbies. A few Power Sellers I've dealt with have been anything but scrupulous.
For goodness sake, give the newbies a break:rolleyes:Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -

I'm not sure anyone said anything about not selling to newbies and even though I am trying to sell with 0 feedback I'm not surprised no-one is buying from me with 0 feedback but I had only been registered a day, I know I wouldn't! lol!
Its not just you in particular but lots of people who post on here that ask to give newbies a break and I really can't see what sort of hard time they are getting???
Basically most people will sell to newbies on ebay especially if you pay by paypal, the only things that you will get problems with is mobile phones or high priced items such as DVD players or widescreen TVs etc, this is only due to the scammers who have made things hard for newbies (not the sellers) - I wouldn't sell a mobile phone to someone with 0 feedback and only been registered one day... But... If a newbie emailed me and they sounded genuine then of course they could bid....
I'm just about to buy a bunch of stuff with my 0 feedback account and I'm not worried one bit - I'll let you know
(not having a go - just bemused really!)

I totally agree with Rachie here.
This thread was about buying from a newly registered seller with no feedback, something I would personally not do. However I am happy for newbies to bid on any of my auctions.
You will also see that on another thread a newbie seller has asked for advice and has been told to buy a few items first to get some feedback and only then start to sell, it looks better as a seller to have some feedback.

It all depends what it is & how much etc. I recently bought from a newbie with zero feedback as I have been trying to find this particular item for ages & it only cost £5 inc P&P. I would have been wary if it had been a more expensive purchase though.0
