Please read my post from last year - if you enter your card details onto ANY website they will TAKE money from your account.
You entered details of your card?
No reason for any bank to take on a transaction liability in cases like this.
By all means look for loans online but if they ask for bank card details they WILL take money off you.

    .

Disagree with you on this occassion
I've entered up my card details on many purchasing websites both of goods and services which allow me to store the card details for further or future purchases.
They have only taken money if I have subsequently made a purchase.

So in fact you are entirely in agreement with jones, card entered = money taken.

In any event if you don't recognise the transaction your bank should refund you as it's fraud. Get back onto them and insist they do so.

That's not necessarily true - there are many situations where you don't recognise a transaction that is legitimate.

Have you ever entered your card details on a loan site or loan broker?
It was in that context that I made my post as I think you know :D
