Money taken from my account

Ive been away for a few days so when i got back checked by bank account and found that 2 payments have gone through that i don't know about.
First one was for £31.83 for a Company called Report Score which i believe from the bank is linked to Quick Quid and going back to July (Yes i tried to get a loan) i didn't realize that i would be charged for them to credit check me, i emailed Quick quid and bank have stopped the payment.
The second one is for a Company called Budget Innovations.co.uk for £27.76 because this payment has gone through the bank as paid, i was told i would have to get them to refund it back. I tried looking on line to find this Company but can find anything for them. It says on my online banking'Online/phone/mail order purchase'. I don't havea clue who they are, and if i do any purchase on line i go through Paypal but i've not bought anything as im on JSA and money is tight enough without being conned.
Has anyone heard of them or can shed any light as to who they are???

It's likely a loan broker.
How did the companies get your details if you didn't hand them over? I'm betting you did as part of a service you've agreed to pay for and therefore there is no right to get it back.💙💛 💔0 -
"BudgetInnovations.co.uk" doesn't seem to exist. Did you apply for loans with anyone bar QuickQuid?
In any event if you don't recognise the transaction your bank should refund you as it's fraud. Get back onto them and insist they do so.urs sinserly,

This come up time and time again here. Stop applying for payday loans and giving your bank details. Both will likely be broker fees which will be stated in their terms. You need to remember where you tried to get money from and go through their t&c to find out how to get it back.0

Report Score (web pages unreachable) seem to provide some kind of social data report (whatever that is) rather than a credit check/report. For the bank to have 'stopped' that payment it is presumably a direct debit rather than a card transaction (which can't be stopped - per se). Hopefully that one is sorted for you.
I presume the Budget Innovations transaction is a debit card transaction due to the narrative that shows on your statement. If you are certain that you haven't authorised the transaction and don't recognise the amount at all, your bank should be treating this as a card dispute and potential fraud, not asking you to approach the retailer. Of course, we don't know what you told your bank, so we can't be certain that their response is altogether wrong.
Whatever the case, if you didn't make either of these two transactions, someone has used your bank/bank card details to do something. I think we might be able to rule out possible processing errors due to the (apparently) different payment methods used to take the cash.
Go back to the bank and say you suspect fraud - if you truly do, that is.0 -
I have been to bank, Quick Quid use Report Score as a credit search, they have agreed to refund. The other one i cant find anything abd the telephone number just rings out. Ive even looked on Company house. Think this will be a lesson learned. Ive changed Debit card now. But not happy with bank (Lloyds)
Thanks for replies0 -

If you truly have no knowledge of the Budget Innovations transaction you still need to report it to Lloyds as a possibly fraudulent transaction. They will get you to sign a disclaimer and investigate/chargeback for you. If it turns out you did make the transaction, they will come back to you and reinstate the charge for you to pay. Sometimes the retailer name isn't what you were expecting to see and that can sometimes account for unrecognised transactions, but you still need to get Lloyds to investigate it.0 -

If you give your debit card number out willy nilly, how is this Lloyds' fault?0 -

Bit harsh - but, that said, you do need to be careful and it shouldn't be used as some kind of identity card - it is a card for making payments. It is still true though, that if the Budget transaction is unrecognised in name, amount etc, it could be unauthorised use and should be treated as suspected fraud by the bank.
So, OP, are you certain that the name and amount mean nothing to you and that you've not entered into any such transaction?0 -

Absolutely not!
If anybody wants your card details they want it to take money out of your account - if they say it is for any other reason they are fibbing.
Giving somebody your card details is like giving them money - why should banks have to sort this out for the OP?0 -

Exactly right - but you didn't read what came after the 'Bit harsh' wording and are presuming OP did make the 'Budget' transaction and is just denying it.
If someone else made the 'Budget' transaction and it wasn't OP who gave the card details out then that needs to be treated as suspect activity - would you agree? You will also notice that I stressed to OP that if they were sure they'd not made that transaction, then they should get it disputed.0
