A quick question if you would be so kind:
I have just received the witness statement from BWLegal and they have made some effort.
Can I refer to their witness statemtent?
    Thank you.
Where/how are you looking to do that?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@Umkomaas - thank you for the response. I am finalising my witness statement to be served/filed tomorrow. Can I include the detail with that documentation? There are a number of clear inaccuracies in their witness statement I wish to refute. Do I wait for the hearing to do so?
Although as stated by the administrative officer this is a directions hearing, where the judge will decide whether case should proceed to a full hearing. Which, in my opinon, is contrary to the N157 I received at the end of October.

Do it within your current WS now, you may get very little opportunity to say much (if anything) at a hearing.

    Yes you can.

They have not made an effort, they've used the exact same usual template that they always use (yes it's long) seen on every other BW thread!

@Umkomaas & @KeithP - thank you for the swift responses. I received their witness statement today and luckily I had not finalised and submitted mine.

I do not wish to argue with you as you have always provided assistance in the past; however, they have detailed specifics to our defence. Albiet a paralegal's work, I do consider that more effort than a simple roboletter.

If you have received the claimant's WS it is likely that the deadline for submitting yours is close - do not miss this date.

@Le_Kirk - thank you for your concern. The deadline is 8th January 2021 and my documentation is almost complete. Receiving their witness statement today raised the question of refuting some of their details.

I know what you mean.  They always have a section buried in the template rubbish, that talks about the defence.  We still see almost all cases won!
