Letter of claim from UKCPS

Hello everyone, firstly, I'm truly sorry for creating another parking ticket thread, I know they are disliked in this forum, please feel free to insult my stupidity accordingly, I wont mind. But I wanted to clarify the action, or inaction I should take given what I have received.
I've received a letter from UKCPS regarding being 'out of marked bay' at centertainment in January. When I first received one of these letters I checked this forum, read the sticky and ignored accordingly. I did not receive a windscreen notice.
I have received these letters sporadically since, all the time from different companies/subsidiaries, this latest one if UKCPS, the last one was Zenith, etc. I found this quite funny to be honest.
However, this latgest one states it is a 'letter of claim', now i've seen letter before claim referred to on this forum, but not letter of claim, that's what has caused me to want to check what I need to do.
They have offered a settlement of £130.00 in stead of £160.00 and have also provided a 'breakdown of costs follow court action', running to £185.00.
They claim it is too late to engage in the appeals process and have attached a reply form, information sheet and financial statement.
Given what I've read on this forum, especially regarding offers of settlement etc it still seemed ok, but 'letter of claim' worried me.
Can anyone please advise, again, I'm sorry for another of these posts, I just want to know if I'm doing the write thing by ignoring or not.
Thank you in advance for any help.

There is definitely a "response letter" to what you have received you have just gotta find it, I do know that advice is NOT to fill in and send back their intrusive "financial statement" BS form.
I think? LBA, LBCCC and LOC are more or less the same I could be wrong but as I've said the answer IS on here0 -
IGNORING is not recommended because it appears they have sent you a formal LBC (LBCCC , LOC , whatever you wish to call it)
the fact they included all that paperwork indicates it is an LBC and seems to conform to the new oct 2017 PaP
so search this forum and the newbies sticky thread for a recent 2018 only rebuttal, and send them the rebuttal to their LBC (do not fill their nosey forms in)
you may as well prepare for an MCOL to arrive at some point too (from the Northampton CCBC)0 -
They claim it is too late to engage in the appeals process and have attached a reply form, information sheet and financial statement.
If this 'Letter of Claim' gives you 30 days to reply, then it's a *real* one.
Reply in writing, not using the forms.
You do NOT have to supply financial info or beg them to cancel, none of that! Ask them for all photos and evidence they are relying on, and whether they are relying on the POFA Schedule 4, for keeper liability, in this case?
Tell them that you are now complaining to Centertainment about this harassment.
And ask for a picture taken on the day of the sign in situ, and how close it was to the car, and a close up of the entrance sign taken on the day, and ask them how they intend to take yet another Centertainment one to a small claim when they have a track record of losing due to the 'gobbledegook'; signage terms:

You should send a pm to bluetoffee1878 and ask who their friend contacted:Interesting point, in the background I had the RK complaining to the landowner. The latest received from them is:
"as a gesture of goodwill, I have arranged for the penalty notice to be void. We now consider this matter closed".

bluetoffee1878 still posts here and has been there, done that, got a case cancelled by a complaint to the landowner, at the same stage as you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you to everyone above for your advice.
I have sent a pm to bluetoffee and have drafted a letter to send, I will await bluetoffee's response before going forwards though.
Again, thank you, I will post here with an update when I can.0 -

And if bluetoffee doesn't reply? Why not at least get some information from them. e.g.And ask for a picture taken on the day of the sign in situ, and how close it was to the car, and a close up of the entrance sign taken on the day, and ask them how they intend to take yet another Centertainment one to a small claim when they have a track record of losing due to the 'gobbledegook'; signage terms:
Costs nothing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Because UKCPS publish no email address, contacting them costs just a stamp (do not send recorded delivery).
Go to your local PO and ask for a free 'certificate of posting' and keep it stapled to a copy of the letter you sent to UKCPS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
Am in a similar position for stopping at Manchester Piccadilly station. is there a template I could use for this rebuttal letter?
Also has anyone actually been taken to court by UKCPS for the no stopping at Manchester Piccadilly.0 -
You've jumped on someone else's thread but worse, it is from 2018 and there has been no activity on this thread since then. Please read the NEWBIE sticky and then, if you still have a question, you can start your own thread.1

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
