If you're selecting 'view' it maybe be your popup blocker, albeit it should say so.
However when you select download PDF you'll be able to open the message.
I'm afraid not, I can't view or download. TSB are aware of the problem.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

    Same here.

Execs at TSB are being booted out - but not Pester.

So where does the buck stop? :)

TSB incompetence, made worse by GDPR incompetence. :(
  • I'm getting these messages as well, although I closed my TSB accounts three months ago. As others have said, I'm guessing it's connected with their ongoing IT issues.

Well actually they are leaving of their own volition rather than been booted out - but who cares about the facts eh?
I guess they were fed up of being run by a bunch of idiots in Spain who know nowt about owt of running a UK domestic/retail bank.

The buck stops in Sabadell in Spain as it was from there that the IT disaster was created, implemented and foisted upon TSB UK - which is probably why Pester is not being removed.
At the moment Pester is a welcome diversionary scapegoat for the mess-up upon whom abuse can be hurled. So he is more useful to Sabadell under control and employed. In reality a CEO of a wholly owned subsidiary is more akin to a departmental general manager than the term CEO of a board of directors might imply. I suspect he was told to go on the TV the day after to say all was well when clearly it was not.

Sabadell can continue to hide under his coat tails (as the saying goes) as they have been rather successfully doing - with everyone saying this is "TSB's fault" - nope it is Sabadell's fault.
Somehow I cannot see Sabadell executives/management actually responsible for creating the shambles attending any UK parliamentary inquiries into the IT mess.

I do wonder how close the FCA/Bankof England came to taking over the bank by emergency decree in those days immediately after. The stories in the media that IBM were being drafted in to "fix it" suggests that in some aspects at least the UK authorities HAD taken limited control albeit on a temporary basis.

"Leaving of their own volition", eh? A CEO who takes "full responsibility" not just for the software fiasco but for all the run-through fix-it dates yet refuses to go? A CEO who had two years to recognise the long-term issues the bank faced with respect to IT systems and yet did nothing?

    Let's agree to differ.

    I get the emails;
I log on and look at my accounts.
From each account I can see if new messages have arrived.
If they have, I click on them to download and view the .pdf file.
    No problems here.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Same here; I can't 'view' them but can download & open them. The screen blinks (greys for a second, and opens nothing visible) when I click on view.

Same for both Chrome & Edge.

ETA: I'd not say no problem: I can't find any tax certificates for any year..
And I agree - I'd like to see a nature of important message in the email.

This has happened to me in the past too. But after I've realized that this is just one of their IT issues, I just simply ignore those emails when I can't find a thing in my TSB inbox.

I don't feel comfortable ignoring these yet since they are not sent out consistently each month, anywhere from a few days before month end up to ten days into the following month.

I sometimes wish they would just cut the 5% interest rate so I would have no excuse left not to close my account.

I'm not getting emails, but for WEEKS when I logged in it would say there was an important message. But my inbox had no unread messages.

When it said I had TWO important messages, I clicked around a bit and discovered it might be popup blockers. I cleared them and eventually my two messages arrived online. And they also arrived by post, but only AFTER I'd read them.

They related to the account I'd closed ...
