Hi! Really happy with my new Moto 6 play. However....just recently at random unknown full web pages (example being newsteroroids, Google.co, you have a virus, you've won money etc) appear!!!!! Really annoying. Have Norton, Clean master, Avira, Brave Browser. All run & nothing detected. Read somewhere that ' force' closing chrome would stop this issue....it does....for about 20 minutes!
Would anyone be able to help me in simple language??? Thanks driving me nuts!

There's an app called NoRoot which may help.
However (and hopefully this won't apply to you) all our work Doogees have had to be replaced because they were infected with malware in the factory which kicked in with any internet access. It started off with downloading pop ups and web pages then progressed to games which it tried to charge for. Got worse over time until the phone was pretty much unusableAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You mean pop-ups I presume? Are they related to a particular web page? If so you'd have to contact the site admin as it'll be one of the ad partners.
Have you cleared history (cookies and cache) and restarted the browser?0 -
Colin....Still getting to grips with the complexities of new smart phones at a slightly mature age! So not sure how to clear history/cache. Will try the aforementioned app too. Thanks!0
