  • Excellent news. Thank you for updating us.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
  • This is similar to my
  • Please bear with me as this is my first post - I'm not even sure if I am in the right place, but the post I have just read is quite similar to my situation.
I have a health plan that I pay every month through my salary - simply health, who are a fantastic company,. I have to say. They give me half my money
  • Back when I submit reciepts for optical or dental bills, for example.
I have never had a problem with them paying me out, it is usually in my account 3 or 4 days after claiming.
So I knew something was wrong when a payment from them for £100 (which I firmly believe they paid) didn't show in my santander account.
I was relying on this money to cover a credit card bill that was due out of my account.
As it wasn't there, I decided to transfer all I had in a PayPal account to santander £37.00.
This should have shown in my bank immediately, as it normally does , but again, no sign of it.

It would have been better to have started a thread of your own to ask your question.
Have you actually thought to contact Simply Health and ask what has happened to the payment of your claim?
If yes, what did they say?

Have you logged in to your Simply Health account and had a look at the transaction record? I was expecting a payment once, and discovered that it wasn't paid because I had actually reached the limit for claiming for that particular item.

  • This thread was originally about gambling winnings being paid to a debit card.

Your situation looks different because it would seem odd for a healthcare company to pay out claims to you as credits to your debit card.

So, does the healthcare company pay claims to your bank account via a bank transfer or to your debit card as an original credit transaction?

Have you checked the bank account details in your PayPal account to make sure they are still correct?

You haven't changed bank accounts recently have you and are you still able to use your Santander account normally (e.g. it's not been frozen or blocked in any way)?

Also, do as Mrs Arthur suggests and make sure you still qualify for payments - although that wouldn't account for your PayPal missing-payment issue - which remains a mystery.

the OP doesn't mention a debit card.He says the money did not reach his Santander account.

He was counting on the money to pay his credit card bill, which comes out of the bank account.

Yes, I know that. Please read my post again carefully.

OP said this thread looked like the same problem they were having. I said it didn't because it would seem odd for a healthcare company to pay out via debit card original credits.

I then sought clarification from OP just in case they were indeed expecting debit card original credits from the healthcare company rather than bank transfers.

They then went on to say they tried to transfer value from their PayPal account but that failed to reach their Santander account too.

The fact they were trying to get enough cash to pay their credit card bill is a secondary issue (for us, if not for OP). It is the missing money from both the healthcare company and the PayPal account that are the primary issues here.
  • Hi! I'm sorry for the delay, I'm still navigating my way around the forum.
Oh, and I'm female, I know my name and avatar look male (not that it makes any difference)
Annnyway. I contacted simplyhealth to track the money they sent, and they came back with my santander account number. But it is not on their system.
    Same with PayPal.
Yes I have switched banks, but my details didn't change until the day after simply health refunded me.
Also, I still had santander as the preferred account on my PayPal.
Im at a loss now as to what I can do now.
I've done all I can from my end.
I've been left with no money to live on whatsoever until I get paid next week, and I'm worried that my wage will go missing too.
Santander are adamant that they do not have any kind of 'holding account' but where on earth is my money?
