    any recommendations for insurance ?
That's the buyer's problem, not yours.

I assume you genuinely ARE selling the car, not just lying with the V5C/2...?

Sell it and transfer the keeper online and in 2 or 3 days the new keeper will get the V5C, they then insure it and collect the vehicle. You could get it back by Friday/Saturday if you do it now.

The station will still stamp my paper with the new keeper supplement.

Full story- I work near a busy port VOSA pulled me in for checks, the vehicle passed no probs but they noticed i was wearing glasses which wasn't noted with dvla and they revoked my licence immediately until i attend a medical at a cost of £100 which can take 6 weeks. Its worth the insurance but not the hassle.

Why didn't you take them off then?

The DVLA don't need to know if you wear glasses.

I'm with Andy, I call shenanigans

    Exactly.
You must tell DVLA if you’ve got any problem with your eyesight that affects both of your eyes, or the remaining eye if you only have one eye.

This doesn’t include being short or long sighted or colour blind. You also don’t need to say if you’ve had surgery to correct short sightedness and can meet the eyesight standards.

And since VOSA no longer exist they wouldn't revoke your licence on the spot, void your insurance and take your car.

If you're wearing them at the time of your test, then they're noted on your licence - code 01, eyesight correction.

But another vote here for "shenanigans". Not least because...

...and that makes a LOT more sense. Especially because the minimum pointage for an IN10 is going to get a new driver to revocation, without any doubt.

We all do daft things at times - and driving uninsured is very daft - but please don't take us for fools...
