Remove car from impound

Hi

i have a car in my name that has been impounded for no insurance, problem is my licence has been revoked and i cannot obviously drive. All the impound insurance i've looked at will only insure the driver on the v5. If i sell the car will the police accept the driver on the v5c/2 new driver supplement ?

Thanks

Can you drive it away discreetly?

Do you have a buyer for the car? Why not just call the compound and ask them if a new owner is able to drive it away once you've released it?

So you've got more points going onto a licence you haven't got.

Give us the full facts and you may get some advice.

He needs to get the police to release it first. To do that he needs insurance and a driver with a licence.

Sounds like a right pickle you have gotten yourself into there lad.

Have you got any family members you can register the car too and they can insure it and drive it out?

    They should do, yes.

Why was your licence revoked and are you getting any points from the latest incident? You may need a proper broker.
