I won a trip to Cannes with Virgin radio in October last year and was also told i was "banned" for 12 months, i just continued to enter in my OH's name and won a pair of concert tickets, but never received the same message regarding the 12 month period. Perhaps it does depend on the competition/prize.
I am now entering Virgin comps in my own name having now "served my time".

I won Skytv with virgin Radio last December and I had to wait 12 months before I could enter any more of their competitions,it is fair though really
