To all Virgin Radio winners

I've just had a confirmation email to say that I have won a prize (a weekend break to centerparcs!!!!) and in the email they said in bold letters

"We also ask that in accordance with the terms attached you now refrain from taking part in all Virgin Radio competitions for a period of twelve months. This will allow a fair and even opportunity for thousands of other listeners who have never won a prize on the station. In the event that you do continue to take part in promotional competitions, please note that a prize will not be awarded as details of winners are checked internally against our database."

Not sure if this is standard but I would want anyone to be still entering and then lose their prize.

yes it is standard and in their terms and conditions
it is only fair though on other people

well done on your win. In a way I do think its a good idea when they tell people that as it gives other people a chance to win rather than someone winning a few times, it can be a few people winning once..
