Easyjet flight has assigned me Legroom seats at no extra charge

  • Well all flights need to have people sitting in the emergency seats so if no one has pre booked them they will assign the seats on check in for free
    Sounds right to me.

A couple of months ago we flew to Palma with extra legroom seats on the outward journey only - we hadn't paid extra and these were already allocated when the 7 day day check in window opened.

They weren't going to fly to Mallorca light 2 passengers just because there were extra legroom seats not reserved.

Just our Donald Duck - thank you TUI, and happy to co-operate in same manner next time we fly with you.

There was a thread here a while ago where someone had paid extra for extra legroom seats and then found they had been moved. In the OP's case if someone else is willing to pay for the seats he has been allocated they could well be changed - airlines don't usually refuse payments!

But how can anyone select and buy the OP's seats when they are marked on the seat map for the flight as already occupied..?

A dummy booking on the same flight, going as far as 'Select Seats', will show the seat map and which seats are marked as still available.
    Evolution, not revolution

Yes, if you book online. If someone phones to see if there is a possibility of extra legroom seats the booking clerk would see the OP's unpaid-for seats.
  • I done a dummy booking for this flight...it shows my seats as unavailable. I have also printed my boarding passes so not sure if that would make a difference ....

I was just wondering that too. I have already printed boarding passes for my next flight in 2 weeks and didn't pay for them. I wonder whether someone else could still choose the same seat. I actually don't like having to put my small daysac in the overhead storage so wouldn't choose these seats for a short flight.
i have just looked at the seat allocation for my flight and my allocated seat is definitely greyed out.
