How to setup DD payment from Paypal?

I manage to deposit money to my paypal and withdraw the fund to my bank.
How to setup a DD payment ?

Not 100% sure what you're asking here, so please let me know if this doesn't address your question. When you add a bank account to PayPal you set up a DD mandate allowing you to pull funds from your bank account to cover the transaction. Making any payment from your bank account, or adding to your PayPal balance using your bank account as the funding source will move the money via a DD. You can link a new bank account to your PayPal account as described here:

This was covered in your thread yesterday asking this - just to reiterate, you can pay money into PayPal from your bank by direct debit, but not the other way round.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, correctly, I managed to setup a bank (Setup a bank to my PayPal account), but I couldn't see I managed to setup up DD mandate.
Is that mean setup a bank to my PayPal means DD already?

So after setup the bank to my PayPal account.

To add money to my PayPal account:

Log in to your online banking or go to your bank
Then, follow your bank's instructions for making a payment transfer. Make sure you use the details exactly as they appear here.
Name of payee
PayPal
Payee sort code
Payee account number
Customer reference/ID

Is this correct way for DD to fullfil the DD criteria?

NO. Doing it that way will not use the DD. You need to use the Paypal app to add funds to your Paypal account (from your bank).


Note: I think it may take a few days for the DD to be visible in Tesco online banking.

We recommend that you set up a Direct Debit so that you never miss a payment. To do this:

1. Go to Wallet.
2. Click PayPal Credit.
3. Select Make a Payment.
4. Under 'Set up Direct Debit' choose one of the available options or choose another amount.
5. Confirm your preferred funding method for your payment. You can make a repeat payment as a Direct Debit from your bank account.
6. Confirm your payment details.

I also found this link in Paypal when I searched it.

However, under my Waller, I cannot see "PayPal Credit". Only saw PayPal Balance, transfer money

You don't have to use Paypal Credit (unless you want to). In the Paypal App tap on 'Manage Paypal balance' then 'Add Money' and follow the steps to specify the amount and the bank account. It won't mention direct debit but when you pull in funds from your bank it will use the direct debit, assuming you have your bank account set up on Paypal. It will take several days for the funds to appear in your Paypal account.

Not always, I have found when I have added my halifax card after a credit card DD finished, the payment was sent as a bill payment and not a direct debit, so now I send money to a friend and they send it straight back as its instant and then i withdraw and put it into the account I have used to pay my friend.

Repeat each month.

It maybe worth noting that PayPal have removed the pay your account by DD option and no suggest you set up a payment to fund your PayPal account.
