My quarterly bill for BT broadband and phone is around £50 a month (no inclusive calls) and they're putting up their costs again soon (as you all know). A 5 minute phone call during the day to another phone code area, although only a mile down the road is £1. Phone hardly ever gets used - 1 call a week made from it.
Enough is enough now, not paying another £9 on my quarterly bill.
Ok, who to switch to? I'm looking at a deal for John Lewis for £25pm for broadband and anytime phone calls. I'm aware that it's on the Plusnet network (owned by BT group). Should I go for that? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Have you done a comparison using the MSE Broadband Unbundled tool? https://broadband.moneysavingexpert.com/?_ga=2.183140001.687194173.1534343747-570310121.1533237791
Use this to find the best deal available to you.
Pretty well all broadband runs over BT Openreach. Plusnet don't have their own network, nor do Sky, Talk Talk, Vodafone........ So as long as they provide a service in your area, you can go with any provider. Virgin have their own network, which would require installation of a new line to your home (if available in your area), but they tend to be expensive anyway.0 -
