- Cold water tap working fine
- Central heating working fine
!!!65279; - Water from the hot water tap is hot but as above paragraph.
Airlock? So pipes need to!!!65279; !!!65279;‘fart’ to let the air out? Any tips on how to achieve this? I have not got mixer taps I have got pillar taps.

How's your hot water supplied? Combi boiler, unvented cyclinder or open vented cyclinder?0
-
Hi Alex.
I have got a back boiler and a tank which stores the hot water.0 -
Has the cold header tank ball valve stuck shut? Check there's water in the tank.0
-
The valve is not shut.
There is water in the tank because I could hear it filling up when I put the heating on, still get hot water through the tap but it only lasts 30 seconds and splutters and than stops all together0 -
The heating and the hot water are two separate units, there is two tanks a small expansion tank for the heating and a big cold feed tank that fills the hot water cyclinder.
Have you checked the tank or just what you can hear.0 -
What usually happens is I heat the water for 1 hour in the morning and that fills up the tank enough for a shower and other things. The only difference being today is the hot water spurts out for 30 seconds and than stops. In terms of is the tank actually full I am assuming it is because 1 hour is usually enough to heat water for the day.
I am not sure how to actually check by looking at it whether it is full !!!55358;!!!56596;0 -
We've just had exactly that except the hot water only slowed to a trickle (an hour to fill a bath!). We were able to use the kitchen mixer tap to clear it. If you haven't got a mixer tap a length of hose from cold to hot might work.0

Thankyou Giraffe,
Will have ago with the hosepipe later, to confirm i will attach a hosepipe to the hot water tap and then the cold water tap, and turn the hot water tap on first? Shall I leave the taps running for around 15 secs?0 -
