Ok the $64000 question is if govt website/computer saying no mot then how the hell do I buy road tax online now when the mot database computer will say no to the tax computer?
Take your paperwork to a Post Office that issues VED and do it over the counter.

Car passed MOT yesterday.
.gov website saying now No MOT status on car and can take 5 days for MOT status to update.
...
In this age of computers and technology its crazy waiting for 5 days.
When the tester did the test, he should have done it directly onto the MOT computer system, and it should have shown immediately. So for him not to have done that, his MOT connection must have been down for whatever reason, so he did the test on the backup system.

So from here on in, it's down to the tester. When his connection is back up again, he needs to put the details in online as soon as possible. That's the point at which your test will show up online. If his connection isn't up in five days, he's got big problems.0
