    Some schools may allow a day off to move but I've known a few that won't (via friends) and even not being granted permission to go to close relatives funeral!

    Really depends on the headteacher.

    Assume your buyer is single or their other half is also a teacher as there would be no reason why someone else couldnt load the van on the day (say a friday ahead of a weekend).

    Teachers can move at weekends, there's nothing more you can do right now. If the estate agent gets snappy remind them you are paying them and they can !!!! up or walk away from the deal
    An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......

    My sister is a teacher and she tells me they are allowed a day for moving, if they ask!

    Her husband is not a teacher, so yes it could be managed if necessary, although not ideal. I wouldn't like to be in work on the day of moving though.

    I dislike the threat tone....she wont complete until late October...but yes I could if I needed to, but my seller wont!

    My husband did remind the EA of his words at the beginning of this process he said he was 'working for us'.....

    Ah well. Lets see what tomorrow brings!
