Thanks themadvix and greent for dropping by, I make a pate out of the broad beans which is super yummy with feta cheese and mint chopped up on the top.
DD2 has a rageathon on Sunday which went on for 4 and half hours, she intailly barracaided herself in her room but after we took it off the hinges (she has a habit of falling and we need quick access to her room). She then packed her suitcase and was leaving to go and live on a park bench, however as she is unable to walk unaided she had to do with the bench in the garden (our garden has loads of bars so she can get around the garden unaided). We found her in the garden in her sleeping bag and her belongings scattered around her. She quickly came in once in started to thunder, lighting and rain. Anyway to cut a very long story short we eventually got to the bottom of it. There was a list of varying issues ranging from important to the riduclous but obviously important to her. I asked her to grate cheese, I'd passed her and her dad on the way home from the allotment on my bike,I'd asked her to make her own lunch (with support - cheese and crackers) and our falling out the day before (which we had sorted out but was obviously playing on her mind). Anyway we were all shattered at the end of it.
Monday was an ok day we managed to get her upcycling art project finished, bird survey updated, discussed an news article she had found interesting, updated her health and safety around the home project and then she went on her bike for about 10 minutes. The hubbster's parents came and social distanced in the garden after we had to cancel them yesterday, it was good to see them.
Today was a good day we got quite alot done even though we had my mum over and then my dad came over abit later to sit in the garden. DD2 really tired today as she decided to go on her bike to drop off her PA's payslips (good job they live close). We've decided to give both the kids job lists as they were getting to the stage when everything was getting left to the last minute or not been done at all and so far so good.

Ooft that sounds tough - she sounds very overwhelmed (packing to leave!) and you did well to pick it apart and discover what was bothering her. As you say, strong family ties
well done for weathering it, big hugs for your recovery now. It is hard work.

Thanks themadvix, coldcazzie and teapot2 for your support, to be honest when you live with it, its normally just another day, but Sunday was a doozie. What was really interesting was when my mum was staying with us she commented that she hadn't realised how hard DD2 behaviour/disability can be week in week out and that was when she was on her best behaviour. Anyway to focus on the positives we've had a good day together she made bread with support, completed our bird survey (a cheeky jackdaw came down and pinched the remains of a fat block and had goldfinches that the hubbster thinks they look like they are weaaring a bikini top !!!!!), and she did some art. She's been inspired to draw violas. We listened to her favourite song at the moment and discussed what she thought it was about and how it makes her feel. Trying to encourage her to describe how she feels beyond the frustartion she's experiencing at the moment using the words or musical beat to describe her emotions/thoughts.
Its a work in progress. They went up to visit the hubbsters parents, well she rode her bike which she has never managed to do under her own steam. woohoo.
DD1 and the hubbster went and volunteered at a friends charity. They seemed to have really enjoyed themselves and are planning to go and help again next week.
Made chocolate brownies and a puy lentil and spinach soup - spinach from the allotment this morning.
DD1 celebrating the end of her A level exams!!!!!!

I hear you. Both my brothers have disabilities that impacted the whole family as I was growing up, and still do now as adults, so, while I know it's not the same, I do understand. Normal for you means something different. That doesn't mean the tough days aren't tough though, just that your definition of tough is different from other people's

Not done a great deal today as the its been raining elephants and rhinos here. DD1 and I managed to pop into town to go to the bank, call at the habadashery to pick up some more embroidary thread to make another wedding bracelet for the hubbster and nip into the co-op for bread etc. Wished I'd gone and stood in line for M/S, really could eat a whole bunch of colin's right now - mega attack of the munchies.
Got very wet taking out Miss Giddychops and discovered at the furthest point from home that my wax jacket isn't fully waterproof, need to read up and see if I can do it myself. Came home got back into my pj's and watched a documentary with DD2, its one on netflicks looking at the world at night really interesting, learning something new each day so far from it.
I then some how fell asleep reading my book. Good job the hubbster has been working with DD2 today as I've felt very tired all day. They've been working on her bird survey and are starting to use the data. She was not particulary happy about having to learn something new (although I know she did cover the maths she will be using at school, but she can't remember how to do it), which tends to be linked to confidence. We've had our letter from the LA today confirming that the school has notified them that we are now home schooling, so just waiting for them to try and arrange an appointment to visit, so been reading up on our and the LA rights around DD2 education so I'm prepared.. Will cross and worry about that bridge when we come to it. Other than that not alot happening in the burrow today.

Remember you don't have to have them visit if you don't want to - you can ask to meet them somewhere public instead (with or without DD), or you can write to them instead, or you can talk over the phone (although generally keeping things in writing is advised as they can deny a phonecall but they can't deny a letter)Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Hi greent, Thanks coldcazzie for the advice, I think I will ask for all correspondence to be done in writing, so words and actions are not misunderstood.
We had a phone call from an old dr that DD2 was under many years and they were doing research into her condition (which is quite rare) asking if we were prepared to give them new samples as the current ones they have are degarded. DD2 would not be willing to give a blood sample as she is terrified of needles and we are part of another study which gave us the answers we needed. The old doctor was supposed to be an expert in the condition that DD2 has, but they never picked it up. It took the new doctors to identify it . We also had alot of problems with the old doctor, so when their underling asked if they could have access to her notes or the condtion she has, I've said NO. Definately do not need that dr back in our lives in any shape or form. Made me feel quite down as it brought up alot of traumatic memories of when DD2 was young, but that is the past and its time to move on.
So, on a happier note I've got colin's yipee. Went back into town as we've run out of mealworms and need more. We've really enjoyed feeding and watching the birds throughout lockdown, somedays they've even been the highlight, watching their antics and watching them bring their young to feed. DD2 and the hubbster have decided that they will repeat their bird survey in a couple of weeks time to compare their data, its getting all very technical but she's actively engaged in doing it. So the additional food will keep them coming. I've also managed to find out how to re-wax my coat, so called at the local walking shop to get some wax and once the coat is dry I'll give it ago. Since I was in town I thought I'd stand in line and get some colin'smmmmm plus picked up some boots for DD2 half price, as she has a bad habit of trashing footwear. I did go to the supermarket but took one look at the queue and decided I couldn't face another one so just drove straight back out the car park. We'll just have to manage with whats in the cupboards etc.
DD2 has traded today for Sunday for school work as she is very tired, plus she is going to stay at my mum's house tonight. We are so ready for a break. DD1 and the hubbster are planning oncontinuing to play one of those long drawn out board games (currently on day 5) and then a movie. I've sat and made the hubbster's wedding band so he's a happy bunny, so far these have cost £7.50 compared the £1800 to repalce his wedding ring.
