Excellent news CR :j:j Lots of luck with the course :T Be careful you don't take on too much though (re - applying for the job)
Sounds like your mini break was just what the Dr ordered, and good on your dd for not caring what people think! it's a valuable skill to have in life, one I'm currently trying to instill in my quirky dd1 :cool:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Karmacat she even made me take photos of her laying next to it, so she could show her friends. I did point out her friends would probably rib her , but she doesn't care.
CrumpetsI've thought long and hard about the job and I think it currently just isn't an option especially since we are moving DD2 to a school closer to home, which means she will be home by 3pm and the job is 9 till 4(not possible to alter hours as they don't come back off site till 3pm). DD2 can't be left on her own, but I know if I asked my mum she would come and support her but I feel she already does so much for us. Plus if I'm been honest I think it might be the straw that breaks the camels back. I think it was the lure of having extra money in the budget and the opportunity to meet and develop new friendships. But I need to just keep plodding along and it will happen when it happens. DH is teaching outside today.
Been shopping £18.71 at Aldiii, £43.79 at sainsbugs, co-op £3.13, £22.56 petrol. TT of 88p, DD2 haircut £7.50. £15 for curtains from CS. Heating is on.

I think you've made the right decision about the job CR - the extra money would be nice but pointless having it if you're driving yourself into the ground to do so!
Quirky kids are great! My two were always very headstrong and lived their lives the way they wanted to and they haven't changed at all as adults - thankfully they'll always stick to their own beliefs regardless of external pressures (including any from me! :rotfl:)

So our mortgage currently stands at £79,872.13:j:j. This figure makes me feel tingly all over, like christmas morning or when you come home and the house has been cleaned by mini elves. Its finally below the £80,000 mark. I wonder what it will be this time next year with the extra payments. Its quite addictive this OP lark. Another TT of 44p this morning.
So today needs to be dedicated to housework as those elves in fact have not been here:mad:, in fact I believe naughty goblins have been at play as the house is a tip:rotfl:. So the girls have been given their orders that after lunch its time to earn that pocket money. Need to call at the allotment for veggies for tea, make said tea (mum is coming) walk the dog, get apple crumble out the freezer, do some ou work, support DD2 to get her stuff ready for school (just remembered its an inset day tomorrow:mad:), tidy the house, check bird feeders, look for curtain rings and remove the broom from up my bum:p.
Hope you all have a fun filled day or a snuggled up in front of the fire with a book/hot chocolate kind of day (Hazelnutty have a hot toddy).

Fab news on the mortgage balance :j:j I think a mini celebration is in order for getting below the £80k milestone, don't you think?;):beer:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Crumpets celebrated with salted caramel ice cream yum.
House is clean and tidy except for the black hole that is our spare room. Girls very pleased with their additional pocket money and it will save me doing a big clean next week. DH was teaching again today, is very tired and is looking forward to next weekend when he is off. Wages from the last 2 days will be used for Christmas (hopefully). Well that will obviously be if the people in the office can sort it, it took 3 months last time so not holding my breath :rotfl:
Walked and littered picked for about 4 mile with the dog.
