Morning everyone and thank you for starting the thread Hollyharvey.
I've been up since 3, just messing about. OH forgot to out the recycling out so it will have to wait another fortnight as I didn't feel like going out in the street in my ratty old pyjamas. DS was at the midnight baking again. He's partially cleared up, I'll just add the rest to the bits if washing up that OH managed to not get round to, like the plates and dishes, he did the saucepans.
No interesting plans, I might have a bath and go back to bed, am getting tired. Tomorrow I need to meet a former colleague to help her with a piece of work she has inherited from me.
I'm in my mother's bad books as I choose not to share all the details of my life and she is punishing me by not phoning me when she usually does.
Much love to TA and to Deleted_UserI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
TA, I hope Macmillan get in touch soon.
Csarina, well done on coping yesterday but try not to ovedo with your own problems.
We got back home yesterday to find that, despite telling the consultant we would be away until today, Steve had been sent an appointment for his CT scan and missed it, so there is that to sort today.
It's much warmer down hear than Scotland or Yorkshire. I have to write a shopping list for the week and then shop. I also need to collect a couple of parcels and my medications.0 -
Good Morning chums sqeaked in a bit of the wi-fi this morning before the boys snaffled it all.
Mrs TA take all the help thats offered honey and McMillan are brilliant, they also have 'twilight nurses so you can catch your sleep which is imperative for both your wellbeing,my thoughts and love are with you at this difficult time Take care of your self xx
This morning we are going to Yarmouth where the boys hire some bikes and ride the old railway track to Freshwater, us erm...older folk will walk with the two dog and possibly be able to collect some blackberries along the way.Fingers crossed we shall see some red squirrels as there are a good few scampering around there.
Then this afternoon we are hoping to go to Colwell Bay where the boys can go crabbing and if warm enough maybe have a swim.I shall sit and watch them and maybe read my book very relaxing and peaceful
Hope everyone is OK and the poorly friends are getting help
Love to all

Have to go shopping today, still waiting for DH's blue badge, just hope I can find somewhere near to park
Cannot add much to what other have said TA, you and Mr TA are in my thoughts, take care of yourself. If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
TravellingAbuela wrote: »Morning folks. I'm still reading along when I can but don't feel up to posting so much these days. Mr TA now far from well and life is a struggle for us both. I will be glad when I hear from the Macmillan nurses. The doctor at the hospital said I should hear within a few days.
The usual mountain of washing is to throw in the wm next job but not sure it will get pegged out as it looks none too promising out there. Mr TA usually stays in bed until about 9.00 then it's the usual bed bath to freshen him up before I get him dressed and another day starts. It was a visitor free day yesterday but BIL is calling today and I think my DB too.
Enjoy your day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all who need them. Take care xx
Mrs TA, Please ring your GP and ask for an urgent referral to social services, you need help now, not in a few days time. It is essential that you do not wear yourself out. I know only too well how difficult it is to ask for help....... especially if you are like me and hate asking......I have had to do it and OH is no where near as ill as Mr TA is now.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one especially Mr and Mrs TA, they really need hugs just now.
Waiting for the CA to come this morning to get OH up. I did manage yesterday, but its not something I can do every day.......OH is gradually getting stronger, its keeping him in thats a problem......now we have decided to turn to top of the garden over to grass, he wants things doing NOW!! Sorry thats not going to happen, I have enough to do coping with him.
CA has just come to shower and dress him, so that will be him set up for the day.
Laundry in the washer, it should dry outside, its a bit cloudy but the sun keeps trying to break through and its rather muggy. I have waged war on the flies, there is one in the bedroom that was driving me nuts so once OH is up and dressed, I am slocing the window and spraying the room, close the door as I come out.
Sausage, mash and beans tonight for supper, I have to sort out a dessert, might do a rhubarb and ginger crumble.......I need to start using the fruit in the sewing room freezer. Could put some rasps in with the rhubarb.........
I have taken the bedroom net down, the flies have made a right mess of it, the old net is up for a day or two whilst I soak and wash the other one. I hang it wet on the line, does not need ironing that way.0 -
kimplus8 good luck with your job but please slow down, it would take me at least 2 days to get through your to do list for 1 day!0

Morning all,
Its been raining but feels so sticky,I feel like I need another shower now I've come in from dogwalking
I have a few admin jobs to do for DH,and also scan & email some documents for DS2,his mortgage fix is ending and he wants to try and get some more on it to finally finish the refurb. It's only a small mortgage as it stands so quite doable. The only thing is ,he's so disorganised that he's been searching all over the house for his house insurance doc.Didnt find it but did find a letter saying he'd registered online for the account. He tried it and used a password he uses,lo and behold there it was.The only thing is I now have a large pile for shredding, another job for today then the shredder can go back in the loft.
I realised last night I didnt take the 2nd lot of washing out of the washer to put in the dryer. It was too late then ( dryer upstairs) so I'll have to run it through again as I find it smells musty if I dont take it out quick.
My DB and SisIL called to bring me a bottle of wine for my birthday next week as they'll be away. She'd crocheted a bottle cover in colours that match our living room and has gold thread running through. It's gorgeous
Her skills have really overtaken mine now even though she's been crocheting a much shorter time than me
Mrs TA- I quite understand why you don't feel like posting much, you have much bigger things to deal with, but we are all thinking about you both,(((Hugs)))
Camelot if its any consolation I am still finding glitter on the floor after DGDs 'making slime' session on Friday
& it's been hoovered at least 4 times.Apparently I had some on my face yesterday when we went to our friends, luckily DGS is nowhere near as messy.
Hugs to anyone who needs one xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all.
Thanks for the thread Holly, hug to those in need especially the TA's and Csarina.
CHS has beed dropped at work, quick visit to DD2 who had too much month left at the end of her money, mainly due to her having to sort out my car that she borrowed.
I've shopped at the butches and the SM, carries 2 bags along the towpath, I'll go back with my wally trolley in a sec and get the rest.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Hello all
This morning consisted of a visit to town mainly to H Barginous ( for sweetener ), the library and then to AS*A for some odds and ends.
We called in at DD's to drop off DSiL birthday card / money and chocs ready for tomorrow, on the way home.
The weather can't seem to make it's mind up today, it's very muggy and it's desperately trying to rain
but I have some damp work clothes from yesterday to finish off so I hope it dries up this afternoon .
I shall finish my coffee then fill the green waste bins ready to go out tomorrow and Mr Fix It is starting on the shed again. I'll probably be roped in to help him put the windows in / hold the ladder / tote that bale etc
. I'm going to hide the sweeping brush before he puts it somewhere and asks me to sweep up behind me too :rotfl::rotfl:
Tea tonight will be pasty and chips for himself and I fancy egg and chips with strawberries and cream / ice cream for pudding. Oh the simple things in life for me, I'm easily pleased
TA I wish I could give you a great big hug. The McM nurses were fabulous to Mr Fix It's uncle. Look after yourself too lovely.
Enjoy Monday all.
Hugs
