Holidays are almost over so I need to keep tabs on this. I get paid on 21st so my month is 21st Aug to 20th Sep and I'm aiming for £245 please.
Ds1 will be home for 10 days before he goes back to uni and ds2 will be around until the 21st although he's off for a week with his father from today. I'm on holiday for 6 days but the boys will need food whilst I'm away plus the dog and cat.
There are plenty of blackberries around atm so blackberry and apple compote is high on the agenda for breakfast with muesli I have in. I take breakfast and lunch to work and a travel thing of tea to avoid spending at the station. I'm another food hoarder so really need to check stores before I buy anything.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

I love what the holiday season does to my grocery budget, thanks to treating foreign SM spends as hols pot. I have done just one shop in UK in August - £41.51 and £4 for my stores. The rest is entertainment - beer and wine for DH's birthday celebrations. I don't post often here but I still subscribe to the thread and catch up with you all periodically.
My £3000 annual budget is now at £1498.12, or just under 50% and my stores are still intact! Admittedly December blows everything in terms of percentages but I budget that way, with all the surplus and an extra £100 for food.
Just well done everyone and keep going. I started at over £700 per month regularly when I started keeping a tally before joining the teamSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Morning all,
Well, just had first shop for this month and it has come to £51.64. It is a little over what I was hoping to spend, and annoyingly I forgot to buy toothpaste, so will need to pop by the local shop and pay more for an expensive brand....grrr!
I will now sit down and menu plan what I have in stock to avoid food wastage.
Hope you are all doing ok, I will sit down and catch up with posts shortly.

Morning all. I'd like to join please. There's 2 adults and 2 children. All toiletries & cleaning things are inc but not takeaways. They're a separate budget. I though we did well but seeing some figs on here I'm not so sure!
