Lol.....just a figure of speech the '80' mph bit! Maybe 70 is better!!!!! But...for 20 mins or so. As I've been given a litre of this cetane stuff after extensive web searching it certainly won't harm the car & its free! Any ideas on the pollen filter question on my post a little further back?

Again THANKS for taking the time to help.

Depends on what his skills are like, on mine you have to strip out the glove box to get to it. Doesnt bother me, but not everyone likes doing this kind of stuff.

Over many years have had three diesel cars including a Jag and always use supermarket fuel when I can.

Doing town driving and now rural driving and no problems with any car.

The queues regularly seen at supermarket filling stations would seem to contradict the myth that there is something wrong with their fuel.

They're usually a 10 minute job to replace by anyone who can use a screwdriver.

Where I live, the supermarkets are the most expensive places to get fuel, despite one of them advertising "Why Pay More?" on their lorries. I agree with the question and go to a local Texaco where the fuel is 2/3p a litre cheaper.

It isn't Tesco forgetting to do their drive by price checks either. As when Texaco do increase the price, Tesco increase their price to keep the same price differential.

80,000 miles and counting on my diesel clio, all supermarket fueled. No problems whatsoever and still get the same 67mpg I got on day one.

Hi....Yes pollen Filter and is a behind the glove compartment job.....Around 30 to 45 minutes labour. Part can be picked up for 6. Quid.....So assuming they can. FINALLY find where leak is from then. Probably worth doing. Car now filled with Traci diesel & additive. Since the ECU changes it's DO much smoother and thegear change st lowish revs gas no. ''judder' .Will report back on overall economy but already trip computer(yes I know it can be 10% or so out) is looking great@ Again.... Thanks for your time!
  • Are you sure? I had a 07 plate Fiesta and the pollen filter was in the centre column, go in the passenger footwell and take off the kick panel below where the gear lever is and its hidden in there
