I feel this is worth highlighting outside of the Together Energy thread where I imagine it will be a little lost.

At least 3 of us have had Ombudsman rulings in our favour. Together Energy have informed the Ombudsman they have carried out the remedies, but they have not. It seems the Ombudsman can do nothing.

There are also very strong suspicions that they are faking their TrustPilot reviews.

There is something very very VERY wrong with this company!

Have you followed up and informed the Ombudsman of Together Energy's failings in regard to theier decision(s), despite what Together Energy affirm, and can you demonstrate that they have failed?

Yes. I have sent them the bills that I received (not showing remedies unlike the invoices sent to the Ombudsman) and screenshots of the portal showing no manual bills being calculated as promised.

The response is that the case is closed.

I flagged this to TrustPilot. They are not bothered.

The Ombudsman requires 14 days between TE notifying them that they have completed the remedies (in my case 3 of them - a letter of apology, a direct bank credit and a credit to my TE account) - none of which I have seen. The 14 days expired last Wednesday and I notified the Ombudsman and they have yet to reply. Others have been in the same postion far longer and have been told by the Ombudsman that there is nothing they can do to enforce the remedies.

Then follow up with a complaint to the Ombudsman?

    osenquiries@os-energy.org

Or try emailing your MP and complain about the useless, toothless service you have had.

I followed up with the Ombudsman last Wednesday. Waiting on a response, but having heard others in the same boat, I've lost a lot of confidence in getting it resolved.
  • Hi Fromply, don't waste your time with the Ombudsman - they're useless! I was transferred to Together Energy by Ofgem when OneSelect went bust, together with my £200 credit balance which I have been trying to get refunded for 3 and a half months. Have today issued a summons against them, so if you've still got problems, let me know.

It was a battle, but I did ultimately get full resolution from Together Energy, through the Ombudsman, so it was worth persevering with.

I am currently compiling evidence that ogem were negligent in selecting Together Energy as solr and that they did not put consumer protection / interests first. I have an ongoing thread with complaints against ofgem as well as a couple of FOI requests going through.

Says it all that the director of failed company Future Energy is heading up this next failure...

I guess really the clue is in the name, SOLR is supplier of last resort!

BTW, read the SOLR document if you fancy a laugh as to how they get chosen and the checks they perform: www ofgem gov.uk/system/files/docs/2017/09/solr_revised_guidance_final_21-10-2016.pdf
