Was 11.30am for us, but our solicitor received the go ahead from me at 8.45 and then sent the money at 9.00. By 11 she had confirmation and we then went and picked the keys up:beer:0

Today is the day, that's all you know. Today.
Today a bunch of solicitors are sitting in their offices watching/waiting for the funds to arrive. When funds arrive they make a phone call to say "done" and tick the name off the list in front of them.
Maybe today your solicitor has a list of 3 ... or 30. Maybe they have a list of 3, but each of those 3 has a list of 30.
All you know is .... today's the day.
I got my call at 10.30 and picked up the keys ... previous owners didn't actually leave until >5pm as they had a c0ck up with their self-removal plans....
Another one - when selling, my buyer had a call to say "you've paid", but my solicitor never saw the money as that was one of the big Nat West Down Today days .... so a physical body had to be sent to the bank to stand and wait until they could confirm face to face that the money had arrived... which took until about 4pm or so... maybe a bit later.0 -
We were told we had completed at 10am and the vendor didn't give us the keys until 3pm as they were still moving stuff out.0

Mine were available by 10am. I didn't actually pick them up until 4pm after work on that day as I wasn't moving in that day.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Last time: told it would be 3pm, got a phone call to say keys were available at noon, picked them up and rang removal company, who were happy as they could then move our stuff in and get home earlier. We'd moved out the day before so our van was just sitting in the removal depot, which made it all quite straightforward.
Good luck with your move whatever time it ended up being!0
