Sorry to hear your news TA, thinking of you all.0

Morning all,
Dull and a bit drizzly here today.
TA,I can only echo what everyone else has already said,I'm so sorry you had bad news & I am thinking about you both and all the family xx
Hope Jackie & family enjoy their holiday
Snoozer,I'm not surprised you stayed on the phone to Laura, sounds scary.
Dumpling, sorry to hear Phoebe didnt get the grades she wanted & hope Lillys are better than she is anticipating.
I need to catch up on yesterdays later posts as I went with a friend to Southport Flower show, she won tickets.I've never been before, even though it's not far.It was the 1st day,and very very busy, but luckily the weather improved as the day went on.She has mobility problems and now walks any distance with arm crutches so progress was a bit slow as the walkways were crowded,as was the eating area but I went for the hot drinks and we managed. Didnt really buy anything, would have liked a couple of plants but didnt want to carry them round.Did get a little handbag, with both a crossover strap and a wrist one.A lady snaffling a few said they were double the price at a different stall, she was buying them for C pressies. I expected more flowers and not as many stalls selling jewellery/crafts/food etc somehow:rotfl:but it was a nice day out.
Friends sat nav ended taking us back a long way round, seemed to take ages.I'd left 'samosa pie' in the fridge and asked DS1 to bung it in the oven at 5.It was ready just as I got home
It's like the mix you get in a meat samosa, mince, onions, curry spices & I put peas and diced carrots in too,put in a big dish and top with pieces of filo pastry scrunched up.Its one dish everyone finishes up.
Had a nice surprise yesterday morning.I said I'd keep an eye on our new neighbours house as they were going away for a few days after the move, and their young son knocked and presented me with some nice biscuits to say thank you
Apparently DS warned them not to leave the boot/car open as they were packing up and going back in to get more stuff, due to a couple of incidents of local opportunist thievery. D came round shortly after with both their numbers in case anything happened.I was out at the time but texted both so they had my number too. Seems they had awful neighbours before.
Time for another coffee I think and then a quick tidy, not a big one as DGC are here later so a waste of time really. The dinosaur museum and volcano models they made last weekend are still on the table ( and theyre big
) Dont quite know what to do with them..
Hugs to those in need xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
TA
I am so sorry about the news but hope that they can do something about the infection and to delay the effects of the condition as much as possible.
I have just waved off my DD's in laws who have been staying with me so they can visit out first grandchild without being there 24/7. If I heard a comment correctly they are returning in a fortnight which was a bit of a surprise.
The procedure to correct the baby's tongue tie has helped a lot with the ability to feed succesfully so that is a relief.
Just had a light lunch and about to get the bus to York to visit another dd so hugs to all.0 -

I posted on here for a while, but found that I am unable to do so consistently. I do read nearly every day though and just wanted to say to Mrs TA that I am so sorry that the news they were waiting for was not good and add my virtual support to you and all your family.
Good to hear better news from Gers regarding your DM.
hugs and spoons to all others that post and that need them.

Another one delurking to send love and hugs to Mr and Mrs TA
I hope you can both get as much assistance as possible to help you through this very difficult time xxx
Dumpling just read your post after reading the Evening Standard (I work in London on way home) and saw an interesting article by Judge Rob Rinder with the title failing to get the exam results you want could be the best thing that happens to you
He describes how he felt when he didn't the results to go to Oxford and that he recognises we need to nurture "intellectual and emotional range that turns young people into successful adults and good citizens"
I know it's sounds it a bit hogwash but it sort of makes sense when you read it.
Whatever their results in sure they will go on to bigger and better thing's
Hope everyone manages to have a good weekend last couple of days with our DGC
Going home to a BBQ
Take care all

Mrs TA just logged on and saw your news I am so sorry honey and my thoughts are with you and your family tonight,I'll even have a word with The Big Guy , You both have been through so much and its bloody unfair and time you had a break from all of the too-ing and fro-ing. Gentle hugs sweetheart and I am sure I speak for us all on here that we all wish things could be better.Take care, and look after yourself as well.
Wi-Fi can be a bit hit and miss here in Chale as its the 'back of the island' but we arrived safe and sound and the weather was just right ,not too hot with a gentle breeze blowing. When we walked the dogs down the lane we could hear the folk in the church choir practising and it was lovely Its so peaceful here and two weeks will do wonders for recharging the batteries.
Right time to go, take care everyone and tell those you love tonight, just how much you do love them
God bless you all
be back if and when the Wi-fi behaves itself
:):)
