We are going home today, well to our home area, we will have a pump out, refill with water and then look for somewhere to moor.

Morning all.
Back in Glasgow for DMs first physio appointment at 11am. It'll be for stairs practice as she's in a first floor tenement with 12 outside stairs which are pretty steep. The stairs in the close are very gentle.
Camelot - my DM amazed me yesterday! And fingers crossed for your DD and BF on their new house.
TA - such sad news, and not what you all hoped for. It's good that you're getting help with everything.
Happy Friday folks.0 -
So sorry to hear your that you and Mr TA have had such bad news, TA. Thinking of you both, and your family. xx0

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
TA so sorry to hear your news, my prayers are with you and your family just now.
Patients first day at home was ok, the care assistant showered and dressed him with the bits he cannot do himself. He sat for about an hour and then went back to bed until lunchtime.
After lunch we both went to bed. I did manage a couple of hours sleep which was good, he then managed to stay up for his supper and until bed time. He slept okish, he was dreaming which woke me, I eventually went off again.
Breakfast has been taken we are now waiting for the CA to come and get him up. He is chopming at the bit to get out to the garden, I am going to have to keep the back door locked so he cannot nip out without me knowing.
Load in the washer, its a fine morning so it should dry ok.
Frittata and salad requested for supper tonight so thats not a problem, bread made yesterday first time for 3 weeks. Ham out of the freezer for lunchtime sandwiches.0 -
TA, I'm so sorry to hear your news, my sympathies are with you.
Dumpling, commiserations for Phoebe, it seems like the end of the world at that age, doesn't it.
Nelski, don't you just hate it when that happens, it's not rocket science to put a few basic ingredients together.
We had a lovely last day at the fringe, including going to the Liberty fabric and fashion exhibition. Some of the garments could easily be worn today and the embroidery on some of the early 20th century onnes was exquisite. Then, of course there were the 70's styles (and 60's for sis-in-law) that we remembered wearing.
Last night was very disturbed though. Laura was travelling back from Guadalajara with an 11 hr layover in Mexico City. She'd decided to take an Uber from the airport to an area she was told was safe and had good shopping. I was a bit uneasy and told her to send the details of the uber to us and let us know when she arrived for both journeys. The journey there was fine but coming back she rang me (so that the driver could see she was talking to someone) and told me they had passed the airport and she didn't know where he had stopped. Anyway she managed to get through to him that she wanted terminal 2 and he started off again and dropped her at the airport. Unfortunately it was terminal 1 so she had to get a train across. I stayed on the phone with her (it was a whatsapp call so free) until she got to security. She is now in the air.
We have to pack and leave the house this morning to drive to Yorkkshire. Sis-i-l's son and family will be there so it will be nice to see them.0 -
Morning everyone,
Was so sorry to read your news TA love and strength to you all x
It’s sunny with blue skies here in EA, bit chilly but it’s meant to warm up, do so like these late summer days. The WM is chugging away but other than that and bit of dusting there is no housework needing to be done so am going to spend some time in the garden, my nepeta needs cutting back as it’s rather taking over. Depending on the temperature this afternoon, Lulu may well get a bath, her mane needs a good tidy up amongst other things.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Normally lurk on this thread but just wanted to break off from silence to say I'm so sorry to read TA's news about Mr TA

TA so very sorry to hear your news, nothing I say is going to help but just wanted you to know I am thinking of you.
Expecting a visit from a builder any time now to look at the guttering at the front of the house as water is cascading over it every time it rains, more expense!
Out to lunch today with friends but then a very quiet weekend in prospect.0 -
TA I'm so sorry to read your news. Am thinking king of you and your family and hoping that when Mr TA is a bit stronger, he will be able to have some treatment.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
