Jet 2

I wonder if anyone can help me please?

I booked a family holiday for 4 adults and 2 children back in January this year for October 18

Whilst doing this I was asked if we wanted to guarantee our seats on the aircraft for 12.00 each person inbound and outbound, We did this and chose rows 1 and 2 there and back.

In May I checked my booking online to see we had been moved to other seats which I was not happy about due to paying and being guaranteed when we booked.. No hassle they changed us back to what we previously booked and apologised and sent confirmation of the seats now changed and booked.. (reason change of aircraft) Job done.

June the 5th I checked again to find seats had been moved.. when I called I was very upset due to them doing this to us again, Unfortunately they couldn't give us back the seats we booked as someone else had booked them???? I said well you were happy to take them from our booking and rebook for someone else so I suggest you remove them and put us back where we guaranteed back in January... They argued the toss and said they couldn't do it so we ended up with them moving us again to rows 5 and 6 on the way out and 1 and 2 on the way back and refunded us the cost , but once again this was a change of aircraft so they said....

Our balance was due to be paid 3rd August.. so I went in and checked all was well with seats then called to pay off the holiday.
Yesterday once again our seats have been moved again I am absolutely furious.... They are now spread about the aircraft with one child of 8 sitting with strangers.. I called and all I was told was a change of aircraft again!!!!!! I said no this just isn't on I want what we booked back in January and was guaranteed which on their site states this... I am waiting for a call back from a team leader who up till now hasn't returned the call to put the complaint right..

NOte.. They only have 2 sorts of aircraft 737 and 757 so how many changes do I have to endure before I get guaranteed seats ? that I booked and have now 4 email confirmations to prove it?

I would ask to speak to a senior person/manager and ask what seats are available together bearing in mind the seats are in 3-3 so it will be one child with two adults, when sorted ask for the premium back as a goowwill gesture.

Jet 2 operate three types of aircraft. They charter an A330 widebody for the summer.

However keep the complaint going. I suspect they offer all seats to anyone who will pay just to make more money and then shuffle people around.

If your flight is from STaNsted you may be on a lovely Titan airways aircraft.

Were 4 of the seats in row 1?
Are any of the children under 14?

I'm not familiar with Jet2 but I'd have thought they would have tried to charge more then £12 for the bulkhead seats.

if it has been swapped to G-VYGL interesting plane :-)

Departure and Arrival Airport info might help.
  • We had row 1 for adults and 2 for kids and 1 adult..

They have now been on phone and we have had to give up our extra leg room and go back to row 13..
He said the other seats are now reserved and he couldn't take them out hahhahaah so I said well you took us out on 4 occasions and why not?

    Stansted to Tenerife..

Hence I will NEVER book with them again.. Never in all the time we go away have I paid for seats and not got them

They already refunded to seat price but that's not the point.. 4 times this has happened and they state on their site

guarantee your seats by preselecting... Yes we did in January

If you get G-POWN or G-ZAPX, Jet2 have done you a favour, which is more than Mr Huzar got.

Rule 1 of MSE travel forum: "When Jet 2 is mentioned, Huzar will be mentioned shortly afterwards"

I think the Titan aircraft are in Jet2 config with Jet2 seats.

You've been quite lucky then, it happens alot, far more than most people would imagine.

I doubt Jet2 would put up the cost to fit out these large aircraft with Jet2 seats, for the short term, when Titan have their own, Jet2 are desperate for sitting together revenues after all.
