Sim cloning

My sister has an orange sim card but someone has wiped all her texts and is replying to texts she is getting when they are not coming through to her phone if that makes sense. She had arranged to meet someone tonight but who ever has 'taken over' her sim card has replied to the person and cancelled the meeting. Orange cannot access her sim card either. Has anyone any ideas please? This person has wiped all the texts that she kept from her husband who passed away last year, she is very upset. Please help!

Are you saying that this person has wiped the text’s from your sister’s phone without having physical access to it ?
Two thoughts, has she been given a virus ? either by Bluetooth or sms/mms ? Has she accepted a bluetooth message in a pub or station etc ? These are ways to get infected or have a rouge program installed to your handset. There is a program going round which if you let it install with forward all sms/mms traffic to another number. I’d suggest installing a good security prog/virus checker.
If her phone/sim is working then she hasn’t had her sim cloned. The network will not allow two sims with the same id access at the same time.
When you say Orange can’t access here sim, what are they trying ? Ask them to send her a new sim (which will have a different sim id (not mobile number), that should sort it out)0 -
my sister has no idea what blue tooth is but her texts have been wiped without anyone having physical access to it.
Her phone is not working now apart from she can make calls nothing else works. The police went to see her yesterday, hopefully they can trace who is doing it?0 -
Nobody is doing "it", she has a faulty phone.
The Police must have a lot of time on their hands in her neck of the woods.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
So why has someone been getting her texts and cancelling her meetings then?
Thank you for your 'warm' reply saintly one0 -
i'm sure texts are usually stored on the phone
or the actual physical sim card
so even if somebody had a clone they would not have any way of deleting previously stored texts as they are stored on the physical hardware
so maybe her phone is faulty or as stated above a virus0
