Read the code that its trying to tell you, and fix it?
My EML was on, I have cleared it with a OBD2 reader, it also cleared itself after a long motorway run.

Hello
My MIL goes on for days and then off etc.
I got it to the dealer who said it's nothing and they reset it.
However now it's back on and it failed my MOT.
How can I reset it so that it passes MOT?
Thanks
Its bad practice to be just resetting the MIL, you need to be reading the code from it and work out exactly what is going on. It could be something simple, but it could be the sign of something serious starting. Basically, in simplest terms, you car is saying "I dont feel well" and you are saying "There there" rather than asking how it doesnt feel well :rotfl:0 -
It is a known transmission problem, an actuator failure. It may need 1k-4k to fix it. The car drives well for now and it does not work more than 1k.0
