It is a known transmission problem, an actuator failure. It may need 1k-4k to fix it. The car drives well for now and it does not work more than 1k.

Why would a transmission problem put the MIL on? Usn't there a gearbox warning lamp? What car is it?

BMW X series are known for transfer actuator failure (just turn the plastic gear round to a bit with teeth still on to fix it) and that turns on the 4x4 light and the ABS lamp not the MIL
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

The code said it's a transmission thing and the dealer said there is a fault in the actuator. It's Mitsubishi Colt 2006 diesel automatic.
