Ideally I'd like them to send me the remaining 16GB, I don't mind installing it myself. I'd also like to be partially refunded for the payments I've made so far.

As this website is about money SAVING...

You are paying over £4000 for this thing!!! Desparate?? I'm assuming you NEEDED this computer desparately for a business????

If not, reject and return for a FULL refund.

Then save up like a normal person to buy a PC. You need to see this as FATE telling you to save some money and not buy from ridiculous companies like this who prey on desparate and stupid people.

(sorry for the bluntness, but you could be saving yourself £2000 here!)
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I'm aware of the incredible amount I'm paying for it. I am not overstating the word "desperate". Other places wouldn't touch me due to poor credit rating, which I'm trying to improve. But this was just horrific timing. Thank you for pointing it out, but I am aware of it and is adding fuel to my desire to get what I'm paying for.

How exactly are you improving your credit rating (which by the way, doesn't exist, it's a made up number that no-one else can see) by taking on £4K of debt at 99% APR then? Your credit history will now show that loan, and no-one else will offer you credit other than another payday loan- shark outfit.

    Yes it's the £1851 PC.

If you look on the ASUS website they are actually advertising it with 32GB on there too

    https://www.asus.com/uk/Tower-PCs/ROG-GT51CH/specifications/

You didn't buy it from ASUS though. And they have this disclaimer...
All specifications are subject to change without notice. Please check with your supplier for exact offers

And if you check the specs for the PSU it says 500 500 700, so do you get 3 PSU's ?

Thats their flagship machine? I wonder how a single 1080 will compare with that?

The trouble is, it's now more than 30 days since it was delivered. That means that the right to return faulty goods has expired.

Up to 6 months, you can ask for a repair, replacement or refund, but it's up to the provider which they do.

It's not faulty - it's not as described. The OP noticed the issue and contacted the retailer (I assume) within only a few days.

OP - they're in breach of contract, so you can now cancel that contract without penalty. Return the computer for a full refund. And buy your next one somewhere where it won't end up costing you 4x as much.

Genuine question and I don't mean this to sound how it undoubtedly will, but was this really, literally the only way you could have bought a computer?

I'm very fortunate that I earn a good wage, but I wouldn't even spend £1,851 on a computer, let alone £4,368. (I have a 4 year old MacBook Pro that cost me about £1,300 and that was a heavily considered purchase)

Would a second hand computer not have sufficed? I'm sure you can get them on eBay for the cost of just a few months repayment on your current computer. It wouldn't be so fast/high spec, but computers have (in my opinion) plateaued a lot over the last few years, so one that's several years old would still be very capable.

I would agree with the thrust behind post #17 ... if Brighthouse won't provide a remedy to supply the missing RAM then return the PC due to it not being As Described. Then with the money you get back (for the payments already made) go to Dell Outlet and get a decent spec machine for a fraction of the price.

You don't really need an uber-spec PC, especially if your financial status isn't the best.

This is at the risk of going off-topic now so I'd like to try and keep to the original question, which I believe I have gained through the answers. But I need a high-spec PC for business, and I needed it quickly due to my other one becoming damaged. I am no longer self-employed but I do frequently work from home. It could be argued that I could of asked my employer to cough up, but again that isn't what I wanted to know. I know I was overpaying and I do not require advise regarding this, nor do I wish to explain it as it is irrelevant to my original question.
I do not wish to sound ungrateful, I am extremely grateful for the help and advise, but I'd prefer to stick to my original question.
    Thanks

My apologies for prying, please ignore me.

But as this is a website about money saving, I couldn't help notice how you're wasting it so badly in this instance. To me it sounded like someone saying "I don't have much money and really needed a car to get to work, but I think my Range Rover isn't as described."

It sounds like your employer is the one saving money by getting you to spend £4,500 instead of them.

Right im sorry not to be difficult... you have only one job to do... It(may seem) stupid, what its what you got to do, ok?

Take it back claim false advertising (which is what they done) and mis-selling (which is also what they done) and get a full refund and NEVER look back...

Your doing yourself a great injustice by going to brighthouse.

Theyre scum! the company should be forcefully shut down, they pray on people with bad circumstances and even then they have treated you with the upmost contempt by selling you a product that doesnt match the description.
