Slinga, there's a free daily shuttle too at one hotel, drop off's at Far East Plaza, & Village Hotel Bugis. I'll definitely be having a poke around the Plaza, I've read both good & bad reviews on that.0

Can't help with shopping.
But with all the malls you don't need help.
I'd just say be careful if you want to buy electrical and go nowhere near Sim Lim Square for computer stuff as they are rogues at best.
There is big new mall just outside Terminal 1.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0
