Will cancelling BT broadband affect discounted BT sim?

I have a BT broadband & line deal which also gives me £5.00 off my monthly BT sim taking it down to £10 per month. With the recently announced price rises giving me the option to end my broadband contract and take up the NOW package I'm wondering if my mobile discount would cease if I cancelled my BT broadband?

Yes, it will. No BT broadband, no BT Mobile discount.

If you have both broadband and mobile services with BT, you will currently receive a £5/mth discount. Though you won't be able to escape your BT Mobile contract penalty-free, your monthly discount WILL still continue if you decide to cancel your broadband package

I'm still getting the discount, around two years since I left BT broadband. I also get the BT hotspots.

Aoologies, my post was based on leaving BT at the end of minimum term, not FOC as a result of the price increase.
