People often say vegan diets are more expensive but I can buy 800g of cooked beans for £1 whilst 500g of mince is £3.75
Just noticed that 500g of vegan “mince” is £4. Dread to thing of what’s been minced though eeeeek!
Anyway worth expanding your horizons when it comes to meat.
I had liver pan fried in butter last week with mash was pretty darn cheap. Rabbit is also cheap & delicious and the list goes on....0 -

Where can you get rabbit? I love it but have only managed to find it in expensive farm shops.0 -
I either get it from the market or if you have a proper butcher they should be able to source in a few days. Currently pay around £3 depending on size.
Interestingly one of the first dishes I cooked after leaving home was rabbit which I got from Sainsbury!!!8217;s. They sold it portions..... but no more0 -

What would you buy that would come to less than £22.50 and be 'plenty' for a week?0 -

I just can't make the numbers add up! Although there are two of us, we spend about that much per day. The takeaway alone would be about £12 per person here - maybe it's cheaper where you live, but it seems an amazingly low budget to stick to.0 -

I just buy "the cheapest/least amount" in the main. A takeaway might be an indian, which is a veggie biryani (no point paying extra for chicken) .... so that's typically £8 - and is enough food for 2 days/meals.
Chinese s/s chicken balls & egg fried rice is about £8 too - and does for 2-3 meals.0 -

I wasn't suggesting vegan meat alternatives - these are quite expensive - own brand Tesco is 454g for £1.75 and is just a soya protein
I am vegan so I wont be eating any things insides
Thanks
