£45 per week housekeeping

I think £45 a week is definately doable ! I agree with others that maybe u should look at it as a monthly budget instead of weekly . My best advice is to meal plan, batch cook and bulk meals out with veg, beans, lentils etc . I find Aldi cheapest to shop at , I spend £50-60 a week for myself , hubby , a hungry teenager and several children throughout the week . It also helps to have a meat free night once or twice a week .0

This may sound silly, but works for me. I have a slimline dishwasher which is a luxury but makes me so happy. I bu ymy dishwasher tablets from Aldi, but cut them in half and only use a half on every load. I saw this on one of the tv series about being thrifty. It works for me, so give it a try. Always buy the plain cheap tablets as the more expensive ones with the lemon balls in do not cut as well.0

Ive been doing this ever since I got a dishwasher. I find if I use a full one, the plates feel slimy0
