Don't apologise - I need to start work on my Yule cards very soon, or they won't be done in time.I am going to have a nice day cross stitching again as I want to finish the piece I am working on before the end of the month so I can make a start on my Christmas stitching...sorry for the C word but all you crafters know how it is :rotfl:.
Hoping the TA's have a good journey to Leeds, and that the oncology appt goes well.
And that Mr Csarina's care package gets sorted so that he can come home.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I have always bought electric products from AO but they do not have the model I am looking for. I think you have to pay extra for disposal.I certainly had to with my washer.0 -
Hello everyone
I've been busy painting this week...I've done the living room, hallway and kitchen but have run out of paint now so will have to get some more for upstairs. It's the first time it's been painted since we moved in 3 years ago and so looks a lot cleaner and brighter.
Eldest DD is moving to London on Saturday...she's found a lovely big room to rent in a flat with 3 other girls. She has interviews lined up for both 'proper' jobs ie to do with fashion or design and restaurant jobs. She's so excited about it all... and I'm excited for her too but she's been home for 6 weeks and I'm really going to miss her. Then I come home today and there's been another incident at Westminster.....
Had a lovely lunch with mam and dad and DD at a restaurant we like in town, which is very accommodating to my dad in his wheelchair and his funny ways! He feels comfortable there.
When we went out about 11.30 it was sunny and warm, when we came out of the restaurant it was pouring down...no rain forecast so no brollies.... and now the sun is shining again!0 -
Happy new shed MrsSD!
Made it home through the rain and now happily in my own nest, the front door is open and there are huge numbers of geese flying past making a huge racket. Think someone has scared them off fields with a shotgun.
DM is ensconced at home and is coping well so far. She's adamant that she's fine, if a little slow. On the way here I picked up a few essentials like milk and eggs etc. Only need enough food to last until Thursday lunchtime. I bought YS chicken, YS avocados, YS salad and YS eggs. :j Full price for milk!
My new jumper has arrived :j and it's lovely. The wonderful red blouse I bought has been returned, it just wasn't at all wonderful in real life.
Just had a great phone call with my boss about teaching this academic year, very reassuring and supportive of me working from Glasgow if needed. That's such a relief.
Now it's time to relax, tomorrow I have to prep for the first (and unexpected) group.
Hope there's some positive news about all the poorlies.0 -
Just a quick pop back - DH & DSis have put both coats of grey paint on the shed :T:T The trim is being painted a lovely sky blue tomorrow - weather permitting. I meanwhile listed all contents of both freezers by drawer. Then listed like with like for the new arrangement of foodstuffs. Used my washing up bowl to transport items back & forth between garage & kitchen freezers sorting one drawer at a time. Kitchen freezer sorted first & then the garage freezer. :j:jALL DONE:j:j
I am very chuffed with myself :rotfl: inordinately so :rotfl: BUT it means that now I can menu plan properly which I haven’t done since we got back from France (24th May ) after selling DSis’s home. Very stressful not having a menu plan
Anyway hugs to everyone especially the poorlies & carers
