Morning

Good luck for today TravellingAbuela xx
The funeral went really well. The Major at the Salvation Army visited nan a lot during her last few months, she wanted some favourite memories read out at the funeral and one of them was Christmas Eve lunches at my house! I was grinning and also telling myself to be serious – this is a funeral! lol. The photo of her on the front of the order of service looked familiar but I couldn't work out where it was taken, I asked dad and he said it was from my wedding day, she was stood round the side of the church. So I feel like I was very involved in the service.
The SA's choir (songsters?) sang a hymn, they were amazing and everybody clapped when they'd finished. The Major said he'd never had that happen at a funeral before
I told him it was a great service as we were leaving, then again when we left the crem, then I saw him again at the sensible wake and thanked him very much. I think I was getting on his nerves by then
I headed to the pub after that for the not-so-sensible wake, changed my clothes and left my shoes under the table. I was a bit worried about doing that but around half of the family did the same, lol. Walked over to mum and dad's for coffee when we left the pub.
I bumped into two people I was doing my best to avoid – one of them literally, I was weaving my way through people to get to my sis-in-law and I stumbled and bumped her arm (heels and limpy leg!), I turned to apologise then realised who it was
Ended up in the loos with the other one. It was OK though, I chatted to both and it was quite civil, friendly even.
It was a long day, I left the house at 10am and got back home at 8pm. I feel exhausted this morning, and very achy. A walk while wearing my good trainers should sort me out a bit. I have a list of things to do, I'll wait til the shopping's been delivered and put away and see how much of that list I can get though – or how much I want to do, lol.

Morning all,
Good to see you posting TA hope everything goes as well as possible today.
Sounds like it was a good send off for your Nan TRU.
We’ve had a lot of rain in the last 24 hours but thankfully it’s dry now, I went to see my DSIL yesterday afternoon and nearly aqua-planned home
She is doing ok and we managed a little walk around town but she tires easily. There is an appointment at the oncology department later in the week when she will find out what treatment is needed going forward.
The only plans for today is a hair appointment this afternoon.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Morning g all, I've come back to bed as slept for just 2 hours, no idea why in particular.
Thing of the TAs today and anyone else who needs a virtual hug.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Lovely to see Mrs TA posting and getting an update on Mr TA.
Its a nice morning, think it might be a bit warm later, the sun is quite warm already.
In to see OH today, he phoned yesterday to say he was ok, SS back from his jaunt, so he will go in tonight on his way home from work. We are waiting for social services to confirm they have a care package in place so OH can come home, also had a phone call yesterday from a carers association, she is ringing back on Friday, but posting me info in the meantime. She seems to think I might be able to get extra attendance allowance for OH now. Will have to wait and see, they will help me to fill in the forms which is good.
I enjoyed my curry last night, back to 'normal' food tonight, have a single helping of pork casserole out. I need to run down the freezer a bit, I am going to buy a new fridge freezer for the kitchen, It is a 40/60 split and taller than the one I already have, its also slightly narrower, so I might be able to get curtain on the kitchen door, keep the winter draughts out. Just have to run it past OH. Then decide what to do with the old one, might put it on freecycle, it does not owe me anything. It will have to stand outside until its collected, so the new one can go in its place. If I scrap it the council will charge me £26.0 -
Deleted_User, I think if you get the freezer from AO the removal of the old one is included in the price0

Fingers crossed for the TAs and for csarina.
Middle dd stayed over and I waved her off to catch the train to London at seven a.m. Washing is outside on the line and I am watching out in case it rains, having had a cooked breakfast.
Dishwasher is just about to be unloaded and kitchen tidied up before a grocery delivery is due with lots of tinned goods to be stored in the unplugged freezer in the garage. I feel really tired and seem to have come out in a rash so have ordered some antihistamine tablets that should arrive today and will put my feet up later and try to pace myself.
Inlaws are due to arrive tomorrow so I want to go upstairs and tidy a bedroom and change bedding and do a swipe of the upstairs bathroom but if I feel too tired I might leave that till tomorrow morning and make a start on cooking a bolognese base which can be topped with mash and baked in the oven tomorrow after they arrive.
Someone is coming round this afternoon to tidy up the garden at the front of the house so visitors won't have to dodge the shrubs and hedge which will be a help and I might try my tactic of doing a couple of small things in an advert break which means I don't get fed up and tired.
Hugs to all0 -
:j:j:j The shed has been delivered & put up :j:j:j The lads were here for about 35 minutes & that included drinking their tea/coffee after they finished putting up the shed - their 5th one of the day with two more to go
It looks very smart :T - proper lock (rather than a bit of stick through a padlock fitting :rotfl: we lost the padlock  ) & a glass window that opens :j:T Worth the extra money to have it individually built & erection was included in the price
DH was inordinately happy that they approved his base :rotfl:
As the sun has come out & it is dry, DH will be putting the first coat of paint on shortly with my DSis usurping my role & assisting him (feel a bit resentful but I cannot abide her sulking - so I will let her get on with it
)

MrsSD
The shed sounds lovely and enjoy it to the full.
I am shattered! Dishwasher is unloaded and loaded, washing is rescued as it has just begun to rain and I have unpacked all the tins that have been delivered and sorted them all into the freezer in the garage which I am using as a larder. I now have several varieties of beans, carrots, mushrooms, peas, stewing steak, plum and chopped tomatoes, pasta, noodles and tea bags neatly stored and a big drawer full of tinned soups as well.
My kitchen cupboards have plenty of herbs, spices, stock cubes etc and I have some long life milk so just need to check the freezer in the kitchen in the next few weeks.
Hugs to all0
