Hi,
I have read the newbies thread but my head is so blagged by all the options and I’m starting to become confused! (Doesn’t take much!)
We have today received a letter from the above company for parking in a no parking / waiting at anytime zone on the 01/08/2018 13.31 - 01/08/2018 13.33. It’s states that the letter was sent out on Friday the 10th August and when I eventually figured out how to find the pictures of the accused offence it now says we have 4 days to pay the lower charge! Absolute !!!!!!!! I’ve only just received this letter today!
I understand there is a process to follow and template letters on the newbie thread, the part that confuses me is, how do I know which type of parking firm these guys are ie pcn or the other types I may just be been really slack, I’ve spebt two hours reading everyone’s posts and I’m more confused lol!
I also understand that we do not know the driver of the vehicle in question, I’m grasping what’s required of me but please can I have a little guidance and for it to be dumbed down for me?
I will be going to the site tomorrow and gathering any evidence I can (not parking or stopping in the same spot) I will also be going into the business premises that one of my workers was attending.
Any help will be much appreciated
Thank you

You need to read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
In there you will find an already written blue template appeal.
Send that to the parking company.
Send it without change or addition.
Send it as the keeper.
That's all there is to it.0 -

you check the name of the parking company on the BPA website under AOS members, then do the same on the IPC website too
they will only be listed under one of the two
either way, its the same template letter , one size fits all , appealing as KEEPER0 -
how do I know which type of parking firm these guys are
Look on their website?
Look in the BPA list or the IPC 'AOS' list for them?
Look at the back of the PCN that tells you about the next stage appeal...
Look at the signage.
All of which tell you whether a PPC is in the BPA or IPC.
Forget the lower charge deadline, it's a bribe. Ignore that timing. The NEWBIES thread does tell you that in the FAQs, to ignore the 14 days deadline/discount...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your replies.
Do I need to actually know which body they are under if it!!!8217;s a one size fits all template? I bet I sound really stupid lol! I promise I!!!8217;m not I!!!8217;ve just never had to deal with these types of cowboys! I wouldn!!!8217;t mind if it was a long period of time but it was literally two minutes!0 -
You don't actually need to know at first appeal stage, no, but you DO know because you are sitting there with the letter in front of you and it tells you which ATA they are in, or at least whether POPLA (yes, do it) or IAS (don't do it!) follows.
If you simply Google them you get:
http://www.parkingcontrolsolutions.net/Parking Control Solutions LTD gives the owner/manager the right to cancel any tickets issued on the site by phone or email.
So do that first. Get the landowner to cancel it NOW, this week, FIRST.
Also if you click on the FAQS, this took me less than ONE MINUTE:We are members of the BPA approved operators scheme.
Now get the complaint lodged with the landowner first. No faffing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
