Thomas Cook misleading info

I booked a holiday with Thomas Cook 15 months ago for a holiday next month. I finished paying it off last month only to receive the following email today:
‘When you booked you may have been told that the sandy beach was 350m away from your hotel and there are five bars available. This is incorrect. The beach is 600m away from your hotel and there are three bars available for you to enjoy’
Is there anything I can do about this as this is technically false advertising.
TIA

I'm not sure it's a material enough change for you to cancel, but you could try.
An extra 250m walk isn't too bad, especially if the weather is nice.0 -

I am surprised that it took TC so long to inform you. These sorts of issues can and should be picked up fairly quickly either after a new hotel opens or at the start of a new holiday season. That said, the issues may be viewed as quite minor. No facilities have been totally withdrawn. What are you hoping TC will do for you?0

Is it 1st April already ?0

I am more annoyed at the fact they have sold me a holiday which is not what they say it is and have offered nothing in return. The hotel has been there for over 30 years and the beach does not move over night. I’m hoping they will offer me something in return for the misleading information they have advertised, and only been told the facts 3 weeks before departure. For a £2500 holiday, this is not what I expected from Thomas Cook.0

Did you do any research yourself before you booked?
Google street view, hotel's own website? If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
They are in breach of contract and you need to decide if you are happy with the new contract or if you want a refund or some form of compensation to make up for it. Would you have booked it had you known the new information at the time?
It's quite likely this has come to light now as someone has complained.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
I very much doubt they will offer compensation as they have advised you of the inaccuracy prior to travelling.
If the distance from the property to the beach is imperative to the enjoyment of your holiday , for example you picked this particular accomodation as you have mobility issues then you should be able to transfer accomodation without an admin fee
From where I am sat though it seems like an oppurtunist jumping on to the "something" for nothing culture0 -
I would agree with Efes that I do not feel that TC will offer compensation.0

I'm hoping they cancel your holiday and give you a full refund.0
